      Hi,

My son is interested to take up Golf as CCA next year (p3).
I checked the school website, golf lesson will be once a week, after sch hr 2-4.30pm @ Jurong Country club.

Anyone can advise if the sch provide transport from sch to club and from club back to home??? or at least a one way transport from sch to club?

Both me and hubby are working ...hence transportation will be a big headache for us if he would have joint.

      Thanks in advance
      Hi preciousDK,

My son was in Golf previously (he graduated last year). Yes, there will be transport from school to JCC and back to school unless things have changed. You can also arrange to pick up your son directly from JCC. The teacher in charge should be Ms Namira still. You may wish to check with her.

                Hi hi,

Sorry you are finding the BTPS thread quiet... Welcome to the thread, my boy is P2 this year and 3 years ago we got in P2C. Was our only choice but didn't regret as my boy is enjoying himself and doing well in school now. ๐Ÿ˜„

Traditionally takeup for BTPS is slower than the rest of the other \"branded\" schools at Bukit Timah, but I believe in not stressing myself during P1 registration and decided to go for one that he will \"sure get in\" and his \"choice school\". Won't have stand a chance at the ballots as we are outside 2km for all schools around our area.

If you want to know more about the school, I am sure some of the mummies will be more than happy to share.

                  Hi Huay Wen,

Actually me and wife are still thinking of giving a shot at PHPPS since we are 1-2km away but I know our chances may be very slim. Just hope that most of those <1km and 1-2km SC have already taken up vacancies in the earlier phases. Imagine only left 27! Sigh...will see. We will monitor the first two days and see how. If <1km SC already exceeded 27 then no point and we will just hit for BTPS which I think is a pretty decent school in terms of academic and the nice environment. What's your comments on the school so far? ๐Ÿ™‚

Forgot to mention that we are <1km from BTPS actually. Any idea is there any balloting last year for <1km? Did the school ended up with a lot of vacancy after the P1 registration last year?

I donโ€™t remember there was balloting at btps for p2c. There was only one year they had to ballet for p2c support as it was dragon year ( I could be wrong, as I donโ€™t monitor after son got in :-p).

Most of his classmates stay around this area too.

If you are keen to get in phpps, you will need to monitor quite closely. Definitely have balloting (just whether it is for which category).

Parents here have mixed views about btps, but generally most are ok with school (you can read some of the earlier posts). My kid enjoys btps. He comes back to tell me about what happens in school and activities. Just joined the school choir recently and will be performing during national day at bukit timah cc. Teacher says that he can be a training prefect next year if he continues to be good so there is something he can work towards ๐Ÿ™‚

Also, the school is pretty "cosmopolitan" as it attracts the pr and expats in the area, so you get a good mix of kids.
