She is no longer employed by me. However, if I do want to employ her is she wants to work for me.
If I were to borrow her money, that means I have to TT the money to her account. Hope of getting the money back will be Truly very slim lah as you said she is already desperate in needs of money have to Borrow from me and not from her own fellows in Indonesia so how is she going to repay…
Some more now she is married . She could be good and was good but dont know how is her husband.
I feel like lending her the money in hopes that she will come back to work for me in future but what if she borrows money is to get out of country so she can work in Hong Kong or Taiwan then I become the duh.
Many thanks for the sharing of your views!! -

I will still advise you not to lend her the money.
Even if she agrees to work for you, she can change her mind at the last minute and there's nothing you can do.
If she is really sincere in working for you, she will still come to work for you even if you never lend her the money. -
Neighbour kept giving clothes etc to their maid, so now the maid wanna send all the stuff back yet she hasnt paid her debt. I saw the box, wabiang, I can even hide inside!
Off tangent a bit, I’m going Batam for short trip, if I bring my filipino maid along I dont have to apply visa or anything for her right? -
I brought my maid along to Bintan, there is no need for Visa but do remember to bring work-permit pass.
-
No visa is need for filipino maid to go indonesia and Malaysia. Work permit is needed when exit and enter singapore again so they will not stamp on her passport, also try to be around when your maid pass through the custom, as i have a experience the Immigration office ask for me to confirm she is my maid when pass through the custom.

Hi BerriMore1
I feel that whether is she coming back or not to work for you should not be related to lending her money, its two seprate issue. If she come back and work for you just because you lend her the money and not she wanted to work for you again then do you think she will work whole hearted
As for lending money to her, i think as you say lor i also dont think she has the ability to repay. So i think whether to give her the money or not is up to your compassion and your relationship with her, and should not think of getting the money back. Sorry for being KPO but i can know about how much she is asking, me just curious if not convenient to say it ok

Hi,
Would like to seek your advice here.
My maid has been with us for 2 mths and so far her performance not bad. But she fell sick recently due to overeating. She finished 1 whole bottle of pineapple tarts within a day ! I got very very angry when she told me that her throat already pain and yet she finished the tarts. Brought her to see doctor and she had tonsillitis and need to go for op if not she will fall sick very often. She kept crying and refused to take her medication as her throat was in pain. She insisted to go back to Indo so we sent her back to agent but agent can only accept her when she is well. So we brought her back. Now she is better and she requested to stay and promised not to overeat.
I’m hesitating if i should keep her as i’m afraid she’ll fall sick easily and will affect my 3 young boys. What will you do if you will me ? Will you send her back ? -
Hi mummy of 3,
How is her work performance?
Are you happy with her?
WHy did she overeat?
How is her condition now?
It is NOT true that the agency cannot take her back if she is unwell.
They just don’t want to pay for her medical fees.
If she still have an outstanding loan, they will have to take her back.
And if she still has an outstanding loan, the agency will not allow you to send her back to Indonesia. Read the contract that you signed with the agency before you make any deecision.
I can only answer more in details after you answer the questions that I have posted

To add on,
When selecting a transfer maid, always check with the agent and the maid if she has any existing illness.
I will always check the maid’s hands. Why?
Some maids are allergic to detergent and cannot use detergent.
Some have sensitive skin and some are allergic to food.
So I will always ask if they have any sickness.
True that some maids might not want to tell you, but if you ask, they know you mean business and will usually tell you the truth for fear that you will send them back if you discover their sickness.
Please do a thorough screening yourself by looking at her physical apprearance.
You can actually tell if this maid is hygenic and neat.
Some maids have serious BO. When probe, they only bath once a day.
I have noticed a maid with a cloudy patch in her eye. It is cataract. I asked her and she says it is fine now but if it does get worse, she might need surgery.
Do make the time and effort to screen the maid when you interview them.
