      Hi myang

I would prefer a school that is single session, its really easier on the children. Imagine your child having to adjust to morning session eventually, that's tough. Hey, Guangyang Primary School was in the news yesterday, headline - Straits Times. I saw the video on PM Lee's facebook, the children in Guangyang were performing Handbells at Istana recently. The children are very confident and talented! I think we should not be looking at statistics alone. 🙂

Check out PM's lee facebook on 8 Aug.

      hope this information help.

          Hi

I am (PR S’pore)new to this forum. Will be relocating to Spore shortly from India. My son who is 8 years old has been offered admission at GYPS for P3 (we will be residing at Toa payoh north)

appreciate some thoughts on the foll:

          1. the street directory says that school is ard 5.8 km. Will i be able to find transportation services for this distance. Will the pick up time be too early
I am really worried about the distance. Also none of the schools at Toa payoh have vacancy at the moment

          2. Any feedback about the school as such. Saw mixed feedback on the forum.
However they have moved recently to the new building with many new facilities.

          3. I have been told that I can wait list my son at the toa payoh schools.
Does it work that way…I mean will i really be able to change my son to a school at Toa payoh later.

          Thanks

This is the school that the Malay boy from 2005 Top PSLE student to receive President Scholarship appeared in the newspaper yesterday. He is 19 yrs old now from RI.

P1-3 in Guangyang. P4 studied Rosyth GEP.

Thought First Toa Payoh Primary still have vacancies? If its really so far away, I believe the school bus pick up time will be very early too. Previously I made enquiry for a school about 2km away & the pickup was at 6am when my boy only need to reach by 710am! Decided against choosing that school as I did not wish my boy to be tired out by the journey everyday.

We are staying near to Thomson Plaza, any one can advise if the school bus caters to the area and what time do they do pick up?
