      LovelyM:
      Hi all,

My son is turning one next month and I'm not sure if I should switch him to Pediasure or continue from my current Enfapro A+ to Enfagrow...Anyone has any input? And he is now drinking 8oz/feed...Shud I change to either brands, do I still continue giving him the same 8oz?
      Hi LovelyM,

      Pediasure caters to picky eaters.
If your son is growing and eating well, you can continue him to Enfagrow.

          Hiya LovelyM,

I would suggest that if he doesn’t hv any problem with Enfapro, then jus continue to Enfagrow. Sometimes changing formula can affect your child eating habits.
My boy had developed lactose sensitivity after a bout of stomach flu and doctor had recommended Pediasure for him. Its very sweet and he didn’t like it so much so that he would refuse milk, I had to dilute it for him. He also puts on quite a bit of weight after being on it for 9 months. He is now on GROW, which is easier on our pockets and he loved it too.

            Hi MLR,

I've started my son on Enfagrow for two weeks. Am currently still mixing Enfapro w Enfagrow at the moment, as I wanted a slower transition from formula to whole milk. However he seems to be constipated when I started to increase the enfagrow amt and reduce enfapro. 😞 I tried to dilute the milk by giving a total of 7 (3 Enfagrow, 4 Enfapro) scoops w 8oz water. His motion is not as good still. Thing is the very first stool that exits his anus (sorry for being gross) is always hard, hence he'll cry in pain while pushing it out. Once out the rest are soft texture. He drinks lots of water and also eats fruits. I dunno if i should consider switching to other brands although to be honest I'm reluctant cos the Enfa range are known to be really good...Any suggestions??

My DS is on Grow too. However his chinese physician recommended him to switch to goat's milk due to his sensitive nose. May consider Karihome's powder in the next change.

                s26 ----> similac ---> gain IQ -----> grow3 -----> now grow 3 or 6

DS was a milk guzzler since birth. One tin of 900gm last about 6 to 7 days. Never take stock but I'm certain that we spent a fortune. :moneyflies: Happily though coz he was so pinchable.

Now he only drinks once a day, easier on the pocket

                  I like your nick.

When DS was a baby, I buy in cartons as it is cheaper.

hmm that's new to me. :? My DS also has sensitive nose and had visited several specialists and TCM doctors, so far none has ever hinted any relationship between cow milk and his sensitive nose.

                      Hi all,

Just out of curiosity, anyone who did not give formula to their kids at all, but rather provide other sources of calcium rich substitutes like yogurt, cheese, tofu and then move on to fresh milk after child turned 1 yr??

autumnbronze, DD1 was on ebm till 2 1/4. She only took formula for less than a month. Hated it and switched immediately to fresh milk at 1.5 yo.

Her calcium sources were (and still are) diary, toufu and green leafy veges.
