      Iceberries:
offcourse i m scare & worry abt the GA thingy.. but after reading up some facts on GA & assurance by the dentist, this is the little risk that i need to take for his sake.

my prince is being referred by SDC to NDC. 1st appointment will be consultation followed by the actual treatment on 2nd apptmt.

There are many cases of kids dental treatment under GA in NDC or KK... there are very min. risk involved as long as the kid is healthy at the point of the treatment. However, there are some side effect such as after the kid wake up, he may vomit, dazy etc... they will explain all these to you & you can ask all the question before going ahead with the treatment.
      Thanks for sharing.....it really help!
Will try to call up SDC for appointment and hope it wont need to wait for too long

my prince apptment for the treatment also need to wait till 27 Jan… meanwhile trying hard to prevent from further cravities.

I help him brush this teeths morning & night (apply protective mousse). He still using the "first tooth" paste as he refuse to use kids tooth paste with flouride. He dun like the minty & cooling taste… seems "spicy" for him… So dentist advise to mix the tooth paste with water to dilute the taste for him to rinse & brush.

Whenever i m with him, i will get him rinse his mouth after sweet stuffs like juice, sweet… Still very hard to get him off this milk bottle.

Called up SDC this morning, the appointment fix at 15 Jan, early than what I expect.

I pray hard her teeth wont get worst too fast during this period.

Actually she brush her teeth twice a day using the normal kids toothpaste. The problem on her teeth is mainly due to milk years back… I think i’m a Careless mother …should not let this happen and this should can be avoid…but…

            hquek:
I just called SDC to make appointment. Now earliest they can give is 11 Jan....figure i have to bring to private dental for my kid's fillings...dunno how can wait.

For normal cleaning, I think they're ok; but if there is any emergency work, still got to go private.

oh! SDC sell 'Happy brush' - it's 3 sided brush and very easy to use. only $2.50. I like it!
I'm a also a fan of \"The Happy Brush'. DS1 has been using it for almost a year. DS2 doesn't like it tho as she says it's too hard. Guess have to wait till she's older to re-introduce it.

Will be bringing them to SDC for next appt in Mar, so will have to call next mth for the slots.

                      Hi,

I used to wear braces to correct the alignment of my teeth. I was already wearing retainers when I found out that I was expecting in '06. Hence I stopped wearing them cuz of nausea etc...

Unfortunately, my teeth began to shift and late last yr, I highlighted this to my dentist that I wanted to have my teeth re-aligned again. The nurse informed me that they will get back to me but never did.

Recently, when I went back to my dentist to have scaling and polishing done, the dentist said that I needed to have a small filling done and told me to come back another day for it :!: (Don't understand why I couldn't have it done that very day) Also, I was to make yet another appt to have my braces fitted (for upper teeth) for $1500  This contradicts the amt that was quoted to me last yr - $700 (a huge jump I feel!)

I suspect my current dentist of over 10 yrs is about to retire and she may not be interested in performing more 'challenging jobs' anymore. So I have decided to switch and would appreciate some recommendations.

I live in Serangoon area. AMK, Bishan, Thomson is convenient but I am willing to travel if the dentist is really good but not all the way to the west and if its on the eastern side, only up to east coast area.

                      TIA 😄
