You can try this home-based tutor in Hongang near Hougang Mall.Hi CMF,
how about Hougang, Sengkang & Punggol? Any recommendation?
http://www.mathsmap.com/
6-8 students in 1 class. Very good size for Maths, not like centre can be 12-16 students per class.
The tutor is ex-teacher. A friend recommended him to me because her Pri4 son went from 60-70+ marks to top in Maths for SA2. Her son is in good school for Hougang, known for tough Maths paper.
Tutor only takes in students from pri3 to sec 4 A and E Maths. I have recommended my niece Sec3 A Maths for 2013 class. Will see how she fares next year.
DD1 cant join because next yr Pri5 class is already full. His 1 to 1 timing does not suit us. 3pm on weekday is tough to arrange for DD1. Also he has no weekend class except Sat morning. So Hiaz why no weekend timing?! :rotflmao: Anyway i am on waiting list for Pri5 class next year.
Asked him to take DD2 for Pri1 next year but he asked me \"can she read? Pri 1 is very easy. You have to spend some effort to coach her, dont waste money...\" got business also dont want to earn...
Anyway maybe you can check out this website for more details. -
I am an Asian residing in Europe and homeschooling my DS. He is currently working with Singapore Primary Mathematics grade 1 books. I am interested to know how many math books does a Singapore grade 1 student use in both school and at home. Does the student solve all the problems in all these books? Or do you ask them to skip once they master a concept?
I also would like to know the books that I need to use for preparing him for Math Olympiads. I am not sure if he will even participate in it but I want him to have an exposure in solving tough math problems.
