      Hi, eindeda

It depend on kids result on P2, within top 20 normally will locate to the 7 or 8 class(if total have 9 class, no 9 also for top students), class 1 to 5 normal rank, 6 class need to take more attention.

      P3 class will classify as P3G1, P3G2…to P3G7, P3G8.

P3 will start study Scient, which is totally new for them, they need time to adjust the study method. Some kids will drop their standard, parent hav to put more attention on them.

I beg to differ. Next year, the P3 best classes are 3G4, 3G5 and 3G7, the last I am unable to confirm. This is to throw the scent off for parents.

I know for certain the 2 top classes are correct, from current P2 teachers’ and pupils from different classes’ accounts, and also based on results of my DD’s classmates.

          Hope this helps, eindeda?

            Previously class 7, 8 & 9 is top 3 best class.

Rumours said now is 6, 7 & 8 is top 3 best class.

Think P3 only have 2 best class which is 7 & 8. P5 onward than have 3 best class.

I do feel that they change the allocation. My neighbor child who is in p3 this yr told me abt the 7 & 8 being the best class. However from my boy, I heard that most of his classmates who are good in studies are in 3G5. He himself who is average is in 3G8.

So what TenTen say maybe true.

As a parent, I just hope my boy is not in the \"need to pay attention\" class. He doesn't have to be in the top class.

Anyway thanks a lot for all the responses

                    HI,

Just to share on the P3 allocation next yr as Ive verified with my ds’s form teacher(ds p2 this yr). 3G4 will be the only best class while 3G3 will be the "weakest" class. The rest of the classes will be allocated randomly.

I need to consult any kind parents who have kids in P4 and higher please…

In the P3 book list, there are Chinese & English dictionaries listed. Is it a must to get those, or can any others do? How often are they used, if at all? I have a few dictionaries lying around at home, although from different brands, and feel it’s a waste to indulge in 2 others.

Can anyone please advise? Thank you in advance!
