My dd is posted to hpps (2nd choice) but we stay very near to nyps (1st choice), we also thought its by proximity, so a little surprise. Dd is happy to get into hpps.
if orginating school is SAP school + stay near to NYPS, they may offer you NYPS. (example: child originate from Pei Hwa)
but if originating school is non SAP and co-ed, they'll give you back similar familiar environment ... Henry Park. So that the change is not so drastic, eg: from non SAP to SAP school. (unless substantiated by very strong reasons)

if originating school is \"All Boys\" SAP primary school, he may be posted to Catholic High GEP. eg: original school from Maris Stellar
if originating school is Mission related and ACS still got vacancies left after slotting in those transfered over from ACS Junior, he may be posted to ACS Barker GEP. eg: original school from Geylang Methodist.
after all, the programme in the 9 GEP centre is the same curriculum. -

As puzzled as porcupine12trade. even all Pei Hwa students go to NYPS, including existing NYPS students, still 2 classes or 50 vacancies. Our distance is about 3.5 KM and could not get in. Are they a lot of SAPs school nearby? Really puzzled how is the posting decided?

During the GEP briefing, one of the NYPS teacher told me they have only 50 vacancies, not sure if that equate to 50 GEPpers from NYPS :shock: I did not clarify.
Pei Hwa's GEPpers are enough to form 1 class if all go to NYPS :nailbite:
NYPS being the most popular centre, not all who select NYPS will be accepted :sad: -
Anyone appealing to Nanyang?
I wonder how likely the appeal can go through? -

I think similarity of originating school to the GEP centre should have higher priority over distance from home, else those who stay like Woodlands that are not near to any GEP centre will be at a very disadvantage. -
If we appeal and state only one school but was rejected. Will they then post us to another school instead of the school originally posted?

Heard from a teacher friend Corporation Primary got 2 got in.

Is Corporation Primary a SAP school? Is it located at Jurong? Just curious the possible reasons they could get in nyps.

Got in GEP or got in NYPS? Corporation Pri a neighborhood Sch, nearest GEP centre is NHPS.
