Oh Red Swastika School. I studied there before. It was hell for me. Couldn’t catch up & teacher also heck care. Only concentrate on better performance students. I was very happy to leave that school. I din even enrol my kids in this SAP school.

Happened to chance upon this thread. I used to feel the same way about my pri school (MBS). I felt that it's a school for rich kids only and I hated the school so much that I told myself that I will never send my kids to the school unless I am doing well in life. However in my case, I recalled that our teachers will actually send us for tuition with them after school. The principal will also see us and talk to our parents when we are doing badly. So I suppose they are trying to 'save the bad performers\" too. Of course, I didn't appreciate all these when I was younger.
Many years later, my kids are in MBS now. Frankly, i did that out of convenience initially as going in under phase 2A is definitely a breeze. With the kids in the school, I have a renewed feeling towards the school. It was a kind of connection as I was a old girl. I happened to meet the teacher whom I hated as I had to attend her tuition all the time. I related to her how I felt about the school and sending kids to school. It was a great feeling after 23 years standing at this level and looking back. Despite that I hated the school, I never regret sending my kids there.
I suppose people change over time as our thinking mature. So forget those past unhappy feelings about the school. -

Wah... You must be having bad time in the school. I have one boy graduated from the school and another boy still in P3 next year. The current principal has changed a lot of their system and they are showing results. Schools are like companys or governements. It changes with the management and will have different objectives at different time. You might be at the school which the system did not suit you. -
I guess so too ha ha...  I had my maths exercise book thrown at my face by a male teacher. I had my science marks (34/100) annouced in class & no one want to group with me. I am thinking hard for some good memories. Ah, yes there is one. The day when I get my PSLE result. I know I can go to secondary school. I m happy to leave that school.
Nevertheless, it's a SAP school, it's a good school. It's a school that my parents are proud of, never me. -
