Hi
Please share some info about Outram Sec school. my dd didn’t get any of her 6 choices & got posted to this school.
Thanks in advance for your valuable feedback. -

Sound strange to me? Since IP COP is always higher than O level, if can't get into O level, then how to get into IP? Should have put IP as 1st choice & O level as 2nd choice. Should be able to appeal.
You should try to appeal. There is a very high chance you could get inSunnyFlower12:
ACS - O level track 249 and IP is 256
SJI - O Level Track 245 and IP is 251
Sad.. My son got posted to SJI (O level track) with score of 255
we put IP as second choice and O levels as first thinking that 255 was not good enough to be part of the IP. -

Ya i think dunman is fine. If u look at it, ngee ann cop is higher because of the ngee ann pri affiliation....
Oh ... Never thought of it actually
They are not my 6 choices and both schools are quite far from my house if I appeal to a school with 4 points gap , what are the chances for me to get in? Actually I am quite happy in dunman it is one of my dream schoolA better tomorrow:

Watmekiasu, my timing to make my son independent (my real reason is that I am too lazy...hehehe...) is exactly the same like yours! :hi5:
Janet, you must stop doing these things for them.janet_lee88:
Dragon babies are playing as hard as they can before starting Sec 1
I have finished wrapping son's textbooks this morn...yet to wash all his new uniforms.
My dd has been wrapping her own books since P5. I told her \"It's up to you. If you want it to look nice, you can use the plastic covers. If not, don't bother.\" She would try but many covers don't fit, so she just let those be.
Same with studies and music. Friday morn, asked her to read 1st chapter of the Geog text and practice 1 pc of music on her instruments and when I'm free after work or weekend, I might want to listen to them. She may not do them well but it's ok. Since P4, she has been studying tingxie and dictation on her own and she does not always perform up to exopectations (teachers, that is
) but she has the satisfaction that she did it by herself. The main point is, they must learn that what you sow is what you reap. Also, independant learning reduces your stress level.
P4: he must practice tingxie himself using handphone recording function.
P5: it is up to him if he wants the books to have plastic cover. He must do it himself if he wants to cover the books.
For piano, I only have to remind him what areas he forgot to practice (scale, sight readings, etc). His piano teacher is very fierce so I told him it is up to him whether he wants to practice or not because he knows the consequences :nunchuk: -

Great idea. Mine wrote it out in hanyupinyin (as she always did for me as I'm illiterate in Mandarin) on another sheet of paper.

Mine has the nicest teacher. I play on dd's guilt feelings - do you want to disappoint your teacher ? He'll know if you practiced from your playing.
