      JSC:
      Hi KSmummy,

How long have your son attended CMA at Kovan. Is the teacher Mr Tham ?
The centre good ? Have u seen results in your son ? How old is your son ?
      Sorry so many questions

The person who answered my call said also need some student number.
      Can i have that number.

      Tks,
      JSC
Mr Tham is the centre manager. I find the Kovan branch good (not so sure about others branches), they are quite accomodating to your request - make up classes, change of timing etc.....My son teacher is Tr Helen. Lucas is in K1 this year and has started CMA beginning this year. I can see a vast improvement in his calculation. He can calculate faster then me at times. How old is your kid?

Dun have the serial number with me now. Will post it tom.

My 3 year old girl attends CMA once a week.

The centre manager was pretty strict when she access my girl capabilities when we sign her up… she tested my girl’s ability to stir the abacus, writting of numbers, matching of pictures and numbers etc… all on the spot for almost 45 mins (i tot she is conducting her class already!).
Anyway, with that assessment, my girl managed to skip one book and has been there for more than a term now and is enjoying it. AM thinking if i shld change her to twice a week session, any one has gone for that? is it too much work?

Tks ksmummy. Will probably bring my son to Kovan centre for assessment this Saturday morning.

My son is in K1 this year turning 5 next week. He seems to like mathematics so would like to send him and see whether he enjoys and benefit from it.

Currently he is attending I Can Read Stage 1 and Seimpi Encore music class.

He seems to enjoy both but will not automatically do reading or play the keyboard by himself.

For the I Can Read class, he was just promoted from PRP to I Can Read (Stage1) 2 months ago and the change is very drastic. PRP teaches them to try to blend a word and do writing as homework but I Can Read give spelling and comprehension with passages/stories to read . Getting stressful and looks like he is not ready for it. Might want to defer him to few months later.

Anyone got similar experience to advise ?

            Tks,
            JSC

              No Prob, JSC.

My son is currently attending art lesson at NAFA as well. He has a very keen interest in art and craft. I am thinking of signing him up at Tony Buzan Learning Centre at Hougang Mall next year. Am more interested for him to learn ‘how to learn’, rather than focusing too much academically.

Appreciate any review on Tony Buzan Learning Centre.

              TIA!

                Hi, 😄

I stay in Sengkang. Does anyone know any good teacher/place to learn Abacus?

                Thank you.

Reading from CMS website, it seems that child needs to be able to write 1-10 before they can join the class...am I right?

                  My son is 3.5years old...when should I start? :?:
