This is the happiest moment for all the kids. Thay can enjoy their holiday. My daughter received the report card last Wednestday. There are different name of classes for different level of pupils. As far as I know, C and E class are the top 2 classes for all levels. Can any parents of CZ share with me that which class is the best class? And what is the critiria of dividing the pupils into these classes. I heard someone told me that only English and Math are taken into consideration. Is this true?

I understand from one parent volunteer who told me that for Pri 2 in Year 2010, C and E are the best classes (they are the same), B is for students who are weaker in Eng and D is for students who are weaker in Maths. The remaining classes are average classes. I do not know whether that applies to all other levels.

hi cinta. that i'll not be sure which class the students will be posted to? i think, probably students who are weak in eng & maths will be posted to either B or D (depending which subject is the weakest). from there, the form teacher will arrange both eng & maths remedial classes for these students. i have heard that some students are even being arranged for eng, maths & MT classes.

hi notfreemom. frankly speaking, i din really bother or put much concentration on the stella program. when i asked my dd wat she has learnt from the program, she will say \"don't know, can't remember\". hence, i can't really judge whether it is effective on my dd. anyway, watever program is being used, i continue to give my dd assessment books to practise. i (100%) believe in practice makes perfect. one thing good abt giving assessment homework is tat i can really know what my dd is weak at and which topics/subjects she is good at.

but do bear in mind not to overdo it (the assessment). always give 2 - 3 sections to do on a day (will come out to be about 20 - 30 qns altogehter). don't worry that it is slow (as some parents may feel it). just imagine, after a year, that will be more than 10,000 qns!

well, my suggested way may not be the best or perfect way. just wanna share only. πŸ˜„

i heard that P1 will not be having exams for this year, is it true? Probably due to the change of principal, hence the system changes too. By the way, Ms Quek is the new principal. Hopefully she can do as good as the former principal, Mrs Singh, or better.

Any parents whose kids gg to Pri 2E next year?
