No need to appeal. Sure cannot get into Ngee Ann. COP 232 last yr. Anyway, they band 6 becos got affiliated students with lower psle score that pull results down overall. My girl graduated last yr. She got in Ngee Ann after appeal. I remember her psle score 231. She got into VJC this yr. my 2nd girl got 242 this yr. i put Ngee Ann first choice.
Not necessarily. I think by a difference of 2 points, the chance is still there since the score for this year is much lower, hence some of the cop for most schools this year are likely to be lower too. But of course if there are many who opted for the school have scores at or above the required cop, the chance may be lower. JMHO.
That means schools with 228 cop might take 225. my cousin’s daughter will have hope to get into bowen sec
do u think a aggregate score of 229 can get in kranji sec school? and do we nid to appeal now or after knowing the choice of the sec school?

Hi naya, since COP last year was 230, I think u have high chance to get in. Furthermore, result for s1 releasing soon. Must as well wait for another 2 days. Think u have very good chance. Wish u good luck. Regards.

thank you very much i wish too :thankyou:
i think got veri high chance. good luck.

Hi selfan, depending on your aggregate, I will prefer to select school with a better banding rating than the COP. Regards.

Must also look at value-add on top of banding. Many schools with good banding but no value add. This means they have likely have good COP but students underperformed.

Banding is more impt than COP. Banding shows the average aggregate score of the students for O Level. COP is what the students get for PSLE. Given 2 schs of same COPs, mean and median, the one with better banding shows it can value add and produce better O Level results despite taking in students of same COP, mean and median as the other sch.

If you can find another sch of higher banding for your T-score range, you may want to consider that sch instead of a band 9 sch.

Additional note: mean and median of sch can only be found online and not available in S1 posting booklet. Check through MOE sch info search.

Some people called that the \"value-add\" of the sch as well. It is not the PSLE aggregate range.
