    • RE: Q&A - PSLE Math

Hi Please advise on this question:

Machine A and Machine B working together take 7 days to finish producing 100 boxes of toys.
Mr Lee switched on Machine A and Machine B for 4 days, followed by Machine A alone for 7 days. Then he needed to switch on Machine B alone for 1 more day to complete producing the same 100 boxes of toys.
How long will Machine A alone take to produce the 100 boxes of toys?

      Thanks in advance.

Hi, pls advise on how to do this questions… Thanks in advance

Reef, Kevin and Wilson have some money. They want to buy a wallet for their father which cost $119. If Reef pays for the wallet, the ratio of his money left to that of Kevin and Wilson is 1 : 9 : 10. If Kevin pays for the same wallet, the ratio of his money left to that of Reef and Wilson is 1 : 4 : 5. If Wilson pays for the same wallet, the ratio of his money left to that of Reef and Kevin is 3 : 8 : 9. How much money did Reef, Kevin and Wilson have altogether?

Saw this question but not sure if we should use simultaneous equation to solve it for primary level. Pls advise if there are simpler ways on this question:

Pens and pencils were sold in packets of 2 pens and packets of 3 pencils respectively. Each packet of pens was sold at $5 and each packet of pencils was sold at $0.90. Mrs Chen bought 96 pens and pencils and paid $134.40. How many pencils did she buy?

      Thanks.

Hi all, please advise if there are simpler methods for this question, thanks:

When Mr Tan was 40 years old, his son was twice the age of his daughter.
Mr Tan would be 3 times his son’s age when his daughter was 12 years old.
How old would Mr Tan be when his daughter was 20 year old?
