      Hi Patyap,

Is the tutor a MOE trained teacher previously? Could you pm the contact of Ms Chloe to me too?
[quote=Patyap post_id=1901882 time=1552041060 user_id=176254]For tuition centres, generally PSLE Math, Onsponge, TLL are the bigger names and many colleagues send their children there. For me, i prefer to have private tuition for my 2 girls. Happen to chance on this page and yes, my girls share the same math tutor as @adelineb's DD. And congrats to you, heard from chloe about your girl's excellent performance and is it your younger girl who scored 100 at last year's SA2? Heard something along this from my DDs.

Personally, i tried out different centres but i prefer engaging private tutor because of the personalised lesson plan and 1-1 focus. So far my girls are doing very well in math and really enjoy lessons with tutor. I think it is important to also strike a balance because some private tutors whom are current sch teachers can be extremely strict which makes it stressful for a child and eventually kills the love for the subject. I understand their desire to produce results but i think both the tutor and child also need to connect well so that they can work together. For my math private tutor, she is flexible with timings and can work extremely well with my girls. Have been with her for 2.5 years and will continue on. Rates are on the high side but are reasonable considering that my girls are doing very well. Do consider her but i understand that slots are limited partly because current students including myself have booked and paid for many additional lessons and deposit to secure and also a surge in many new student requests.

For mummies with p5 children, make sure to push your child now so that psle year will not be too stressful also. There are impt concepts to master so make sure there is adequate practice from tutors and centres. Good luck!

May i have her contact too please ? My contact is 97632723 or email at Aaronalthea16@gmail.com

Hi all, welcome to Temasek Primary 😃

Yes, P1s usually wear PE attire for orientation week/s. Name tags are sewn onto the PE attire as well as uniforms. No worries about name tag colour change. I make new name tags only when the kids outgrow their uniforms. School is not that particular about the colour of name tags.

Enjoy the Orientation tomorrow! Likely the kids will met their form teachers and classmates and get a mini tour of the school.
Thanks for the info!!! Haha I very ks right.. Order the name tags... Wahahahaha

Btw the uniform vendors won't be there at Sch tmr so u can't get it as well..

I intend to let my son take the Sch bus.. But from the first day onwards.. Than for the first day will have to rush down to Sch to let him see my face there than I will jus leave him there.. Don intend to even stay till recess..

For the uniform wise.. Bras basar sometimes do not have stock.. Cos the previous time I went there they do not have pe shirt sizes.. Mostly out of stock.. But I do think they restocked it already..

their main warehouse is at ubi.. But u can't go there and try try look see.. U must call them inform them what size from what Sch and they will prepare it for you..

I have no idea first weeks are pe attire.. Didn't hear this info though!! Already did the name tag order via whatsapp so jus waiting for them to deliver it.. I only ordered 5!! Dunno enough or not as uniform n pe shirt needs them?!?!? But p3 change colour so I tot no point get so many right?? Hmmmmm.... 🤷
