The admin did made an announcement prior to balloting that the school will inform all applicants whether they are successful or not. But usually parents would have called. I have not received my confirmation form either. So will probably call up tomorrow and find out.

      Hihi,

Any successful applicant from TNS Phase 2B received anything from the school? I've not heard from the school since the balloting on the 28th..
Do they actually inform the applicants if they are succesful/unsuccessful, since attendance is not compulsory during balloting? Thanks!!

I don’t have any clue either. Sometimes, the school will put it up on their website. You may want to call the school to find out. They may not have the info now cos they might still be tabulating.

At Phase 2B for TNS, there are 4 PRs out of 94 applicants.

      Phase 2C : 63 Vacancies (1withdrawal from phase 2A2)

      : 99 total applications (Day 1-3)
      within 1km = 94; within 1-2km = 5; outside 2km = 0 (1 withdrawn)

Does any one have the figures as to how many <1km, 1-2 km for TNS and NAPS to share?

Hi im a father who travels frequently and is quite blur about the pri 1 registration process. I live within 1km of tao nan and have been quite set in trying to send my son to the school since he was born.. however in recent weeks, i have been informed that catholic high has become very popular. im an old boy of cat high. Can kaisu parents pls advise me on which school shld i send him to? pls help im very confused and lost πŸ™

I think you should just register at Cath High under phase 2a first. I can understand the distance travelling is a hinderance but at least you have secured a place in one of the top popular school.

Usually Tao Nan requires balloting under Phase 2c (< 1km) unless you can register him under Phase 2b which is for community volunteers, parent volunteers etc. Note however that for this year, Tao Nan also has balloting for those living < 1km under Phase 2b.

Hi all. I went to Ngee Ann this morning to register my girl. Hope we can get a place even we are staying outside 2km. But something is bothering me when i reach home. I remember some of the parents before me were holding pink copy of the form when they left, but i dont have any because the teacher did not give me anything.

hmmm  i better call the school tomorrow to clarify. hope it will not affect our application πŸ™ .
You should have a copy of the form as a reference copy for your registration. Maybe they forgot to give it to you. Don't worry... call the school tomorrow to find out.

      Thanks.

I can only take leave in the afternoon on wednesday to register. The registration I understand starts from 2.30 to 4.30pm. I presume can be registered on time right since its the last day?
Was told pm session usually have less crowd. So as long as you are there by 230pm... you wouldn't need too long to get it done : ) Good luck!

Hi, may I know how long does the registration take?

Actual registration is actually quite fast... max 10 mins to fill up the form and verify information provided. Its the waiting time if there are alot of people registering at the same time.

Yes! Really nerve wreaking and I don't wish any parent going through this. You can see the joy of tears from some parents and the disappointment in others.

Good luck and best wishes to all others trying out for Phase 2C!

so did u also get in?

      πŸ˜„ Yes!

Just came back from a super stressful 2B balloting at TNS!! Actually, the atmosphere wasnt as bad as i expected. It was quite friendly and normal. None of those dagger stares that i was expecting. Maybe the pricipal and all the staff made the process very smooth and user friendly.

I was expecting the confusion to happen when the name of a child was called twice (since this time round, there are 2 ballot slips for singapore citizens and one for PR) but surprisingly, there was a system in place for this and someone was keeping tab. A bell would ring when a name was called for the second time, hence allowing the parent drawing the slip to draw again! It was all very structured and systematic. Kudos to all the staff who made it seem like they've done this forever!

One thing to note is that TNS website stated 3 PR applicants but in the balloting, there were 4....anyway......

Congrats to all those who got places in this phase!
For those who didnt, good luck in 2C wherever you are going to register!
