Thanks all. I certainly agree with the CCA thing, and have told DD that it’s better to be a key player in a so-so team rather than reserve in a very strong team. Took her to try out the public transport route over the weekend (at least 60 mins one way) and she agrees that she doesn’t want to travel so far every day. So it’s CGS for us.

RE: COP 2018
Thanks floppy and doodbug.
Yes, DD wanted IJ TP because she is a net baller and IJ is tops at nationals. I persuaded her to go for CGS cos it’s nearer to our house and I also heard it’s a good school, but she was quite upset. So we appealed. Tried the public transport timing about 60 mins. And now just want to make sure we making the right choice to stay with CGS because of proximity. -

Hi floppy, can you share why? It seems like you're think CGS is better.
Your daughter got into CGS but successfully appeal to CHIJ TP?araire:
My DD successfully appealed to IJ though it's further from our house (60 mins vs 30 mins). Any thoughts on Crescent vs IJ Toa Payoh in terms of: -
1. O-Level performance
2. School culture
3. Students

I think it’s a big mistake, without even considering the extra distance travelled. Nevertheless, I think many parents eyeing CGS will thank you for it. -

I think you have not accepted the transfer yet. That is why you are asking right?araire:

So sorry, fellow parents, for not responding promptly! My DS is now in Sec 2 and I seldom check in this forum nowadays. I happened to log in today and have just replied to your PMs.
My husband and I credit our DS's PSLE results to this amazing tutor at Holland. (Sorry, I don't want to post her contact details in a public forum, as I have not asked for her permission.)
Hi Woohoo, Can you PM me the contact for the Science tutor at Holland? Looking for one for my P5 DD. Thanks! -

RE: Alexandra Primary
Hi parents
Just wondering if anyone is using the school bus service to/from Depot Road, and how much it costs for one-way and two-way transport?
