Register for tuition class also stress...
Today is the 1st day for new registration. Went late (cos forgot about it), reached 1pm (center open at 11am). Ended up most slots were taken
Heard there was already a queue when they open for business today :siao:

That piece of paper is as heavy as gold.
Must kneel down and stretch out 2 hands to receive the \"å£ēŗø\"

RE: Rulang Primary
received the confirmation. It was sent out on 17 Aug, but I just opened my mailbox today

Orientation on 10/11/12.
The \"cute\" thing is, the principal's signature was dated \"22/8/12\"

RE: 2012 P1 Registration Exercise for 2013 In-Take
I think its not so much of \"talent\", but rather a side effect of being a first world country.
It's not about parents throwing $ and resources at all cost.
Our FTs are simply very hungry due to the harsh environment they were brought up in, and they will fight for resources/knowledge themselves to achieve a higher standard of living.
Our little darlings, on the other hand, are much more pampered and less motivated as they have a safety net to fall back on. Putting our own kids in the same harsh environment the FTs grew up in will simply break our hearts, and may be considered \"child abuse\" to some :rotflmao:
When I was studying in the states, the Americans also thought all Asians were Math/Science geniuses (academically at least). But what they may not have seen was how the Chinese stayed in computer labs in school until 12 midnight (they were forced to leave the lab as the labs were closing). Even then, they camped outside the labs overnight, so that they will be the 1st to get in and continue their work at 8am :scared:
Totally no life.
Conversely, the Americans believe in a more \"balanced\" life style. They want to enjoy their college life at the same time.
\"Work-hard, play hard\".
I think SCs are somewhere in between on the scale

Yes, it's the carbon copy. You got your choice school without balloting? :celebrate:
I think it depends on individual school?
When I registered (although under 2A2), the carbon copy was immediately given after registration on the same day, but w/o the principal's signature.
Was told that a separate letter w/ date of orientation will be given out if successful. -

RE: Rulang Primary
Thank you silverhorse

Was getting anxious as I learnt about another parent who received confirmation letter on 2-3 days ago (fr another school).
Seems that different schools have different procedures regarding this.
I know another school will only send out letters after Phase 2C. -
RE: Rulang Primary
btw, has anyone here received confirmation letters from the school ?

I think different schools have different procedures. I've just learnt that for Bukit Panjang Primary, they will only send out confirmation letters after Phase 2C (it may be originally after all phases, but usually all vacancies will be filled by then).Asure7
I also applied under 2A2 but is in Shuqun. I was told the confirmation letter (1st page of the application form) will be sent out after 17 Jul and I also haven't receive it.
But you do at least have the carbon copy of the application form right? That should be proof of your application in case anything goes wrong. -
