My son is in P1 YTPS. Also in Agape. They do provide Eng, Maths & Chinese assessment books, revise Spelling & 听写, outdoor & computer time (to play internet games) on a weekly basis.


However, my son complain the floor is not clean & toilet is dirty. Not sure if it is because he is used to the super clean environment in Childcare.

Food wise, my son told me he is given, rice, meat & beansprout or noodle, meat & beansprout for lunch. Breakfast is usually bread with milo. There were more variety in his Childcare.

Somehow, vacancies @ Unity has became 15 instead of 16 after the close of P2C ballotting.

I do agree that competition for Unity @ P2CS is tough. SC within 1km would have been admitted to DLS, YTPS & Unity in previous phases. Hence, the no of SC within 1 km going for Unity would be minimal unless there are SC who went for ballotting for other schs outside CCK area & fail will apply Unity @ this phase. In my opinion, give it a shot @ Unity. If really fail again, I believe MOE will post you to Kranji or Teck Whye since no of vacancies in these 2 sch are plenty. Just my 2 cents. But this plan comes with a risk la. On the otherhand, you may want to consider Concord since it is nearer to you. Think it over carefully over the weekend. Cheers

I am very sore about it. If govt had implemented the rule of SC priority over PR, my son would have gotten in DLS in P2C 4 yrs ago. I am within 1km of DLS and had to register CCKPS in P2CS which is 1 - 2 km away.

I totally agree. This SC priority should have implemented since day 1. The system should be refined further ie SC first for Phase 1 to Phase 2C then comes PR. Being near the school really helps.

I also think there are many PR in this area. Previous years both DLS & YTPS ballot for those within 1km. Now YTPS admits all SC & only PR needs to ballot.

There is an interesting observation for DLS. At the end of 2nd day registration, there were 113 applications. Then end of 3rd day, no of applications reduced to 99. Means DLS rejected 14 applicants? They are probably PR since they don have a chance even to ballot. So these PRs probably went to YTPS resulting in 30 PRS ballotting for 6 places as mentioned by snowball.

Me too registered at YTPS. How did you know that you got in? When hubby went to registered yesterday, the staff told him confirm must ballot. Not sure if she based on total no of applicants vs vacancies or meant SC must ballot. She does not want to give more info.

I called the school twice yesterday, once after 11am, when the am reg time close. Was told all SC safe. Called again in the evening after the reg closing time. Was told all SC got in need balloting for PR. I also checked the school website for update to double confirm
