Huiwen86:atrecord:
That car is initially ok for my husband but as the years went by,he found it to be a bit bothersome with the finances cos it is high maintenance and needs petrol every few days. That car has a 2.0 engine if I am not wrong.
I suggested a hatchback instead so that's when the Mazda 2 came in.He is ok with auto but he is used to be having a clutch and left hand moving all the time when he is driving.
OK, if it was a 2-litre Lancer, then it should be an Evo.
I find it almost unthinkable that your husband would switch from Evo to Mazda 2. It's like moving from 3-bedroom condo in Orchard to a 3-rm HDB flat in an outskirt town...
I had to remind him that he needs to think of his family and that car can be quite dangerous if he does not handle it properly.
Why not just sell or scrap it since it is a very old car and just get a normal hatchback instead. It is a win-win situation maybe except for the car.Everyone will feel comfortable driving the new hatchback.
He vaguely told me that car is a classic.Featured in Jackie Chan's racing movie.
Wow, you are very fortunate that he took your advice and opinion seriously and accepted them. He obviously loves you and the family more than his Evo - which I think is, well, not rare, but probably not the majority for the group of people who drive/own those cars.
Can't really imagine someone who loves a performance car like the Evo, switching to a completely tame(r than most) Mazda 2
Yup, Jackie Chan must have had tie-ups with Mitsubishi, to always be driving Mits in his new movies in the past, always the Evos. But i think the last such tie-ups was probably long ago... but oh, you did mention that Evo was long ago too.
Good for you. I've not had the chance to sit in any such performance cars before.
