So the move is in setting \"tricky\" questions instead of \"difficult\" ones to set students apart :scratchhead:

      Difficult is different from Tricky.
To do well in a tricky paper, one needs to read the question very carefully and needs to know how to interpret the given information.

The paper can be easy but tricky. This can be scary cos the kid may thínk that he/she knows the ans but in actual fact, not getting the correct ans.

Such tricky questions will be very \"costly\" for kids who don't take time to read the questions carefully.

      Hi GiftedGem,

I didn't probe further. Initially I thought his idea is quite creative to think of blind man doing stunts with his dogs but on second thought, I feel that it may be out of point as is not connected to the book sales at all.

DS2 told me the cheering was at the entrance, that's why he didn't write about the book sale. 🤷

Same for my DS. So is it a must to link the storyline to the book sale? If so, he will be out of point? Will markers failed such essay?

I have ds a bottle 2 weeks ago, first time. He has fever and fell sick after that. I am unsure if it is related but I dare not try again.

Both my elder DD (now in JC 1) & DS have been consuming chicken essence (smaller bottle for kids) three years back. I gave them early in the morning to replace their honey drink. It provides both of them some form of alertness. Especially for my DD, if she does not have enough sleep the night before, she will bring a bottle to school. As to some parents' comment on tiredness after consumption, could be due to the kids having to focus for that few hours and hence, experience tiredness thereafter.

Ds1 asked if he can skip school after PSLE :yikes: I told him we talk about it after PSLE.

Sigh, heart not at PSLE ......more like dreaming how much time he can spent on playing. To think that he's playing right up to this day.

Eer, must go to school right? Afterall he got nothing to do at home, except play. :frustrated:

      What is he playing with?

I never see my dd playing with anything. She just float here float there, figuratively 😆

I think school plans lots of activities for them to keep the kids meaningfully occupied

Haha, my dd also, didn't see her play. Instead, she also float here, float there. Sometimes, dreaming, dreaming and dreaming away and takes very long to finish her meals :slapshead:
Ds play games - Mindcraft, grewtopia (not sure of the spelling) and he also keeps drifting away. He can a long time just to bathe and eat. Plus, disturb the brothers.
Haha, same for my DS. Plays Minecraft, Growtopia...
Is it really because boys are like that???

My girl chose CGS as first choice followed by NHH. Hope we made the right choice. :please:

      Other interesting facts:

      1. The independent secondary schools attract the Top 5 % of each PSLE cohort and are targeted at students who are
      clearly university-bound.

      2. The SAP schools normally attract the Top 10% - 20% of each PSLE cohort.

      3. Students who are in the Top 10% of their PSLE cohort will be given an option by the Ministry of Education to study a foreign language (French / German/ Japanese)

      4. NUS High School, SOTA and SST are targeted at students with specific talents.
Hi, wonder if you know for the top 20% of this year's PSLE cohort, what is the lowest T-score?

Hi BeckP, yes current principle is humorous and straight forward. he is better conversed in mandarine. i somehow feel that the pupils i met yesterday can't really speak well - a bit disappointing indeed
My girl prefers CGS over NHH (think she still very disturbed about the plaiting her hair). How about Commonwealth & Swiss Cottage? Are they good?
