For international dance selection last year, the girls had to follow and do some dance moves in a group. Each girl also had to do a short individual dance choreographed by herself. Not sure if the selection process remains the same this year.
Hi, can any parent / senior students share the CCA audition/selection processes. What to expect for debate or international dance selections. Thanks. -

If u are referring to CCAs, no. The girls are free to choose other cca forms like performing arts, clubs & societies or uniformed groups. Need to choose only 1 CCA. PE lessons will have some sports included.
Do all the girls need to do sports a lot like competition? My girl is not good at sports. -

Hi TiaUrch, think can based on one of the scenarios in the CCA selection briefing slides. U can access the slides from iNet portal .
Hi parents, my gal is in waiting list under her favourite sports CCA and no other offers/waiting list. So when she submits her 4 choices, can she still apply CCAs that she tried out but got no offers or in waiting list? Any insights?Understand that one Uniformed group is compulsory. Thanks -
RE: Dunman High School (Junior High)
Hi myrick88, would like to share my experience after reading your post on yr son’s dsa experience. We too then were at a cross road situation. My ds had offers from nush and another IP school but he only had his mind on nush. Initially at that time we actually would have preferred that he goes to the IP school instead of nush (for similar reasons that u may have now e.g. too early to specialise, and whether nush is indeed the right choice etc) plus we felt it would be such a pity to give up the offer from IP sch (which comparatively has much longer n established track record/network etc), we let him choose and decide for himself eventually. We came to think that if he feels that strongly abt going to a certain school, he would be much happier if he goes to the school that he prefers and this would motivate him to continue to pursue growth and excellence in the areas that he is good/interested in. He is currently enjoying nush v much and we are thankful for that.

RE: 2019 PSLE Discussions and Strategies (Children born in 2007)
Think schools themselves may also exchange prelim papers? My dd told me yesterday the school started to give her class another school’s prelim papers (for 2 subjects) to do, so I think there will be more to come.

hi bgmum,
the Innovation projects u submit can be done in group, or done individually, hence can submit > 1 project.
If the project is done in a group inside her school, just state what role your daughter had played inside the group project, or which part of the project she did hands-on. All the very best, to her
Thank you phtthp! -

Sounds really wide.. i thought it was science..it seems can be art and even community projects? So there will be a presentation of your girl's project ? Wonder in group or individual?[/quote]We were asked to upload. Not sure if she will be asked abt it during the selection test (perhaps at interview stage if she gets further shortlisted). Her project was done as a group.
Yes u are right, but am pleasantly surprised that the scope can cover artistic expressions apart from the usual projects/inventions that we understand to be. We didnt indicate during submission stage as not sure what the sch is looking for cos innovation is a new dsa area for nygh and the scope seems broad. When i tried checking around then, eg for some other schools, innovation can be social innovation (sounda like relating to community involvement projects but actually I am also not too sure what that means).bgmum\" post_id=\"1917855\" time=\"1562305948\" user_id=\"40730:

think NYGH expect u to write up or give more detailed information, about the Innovation project(s) that your daughter have done, going to submit to them
