Hi,

We are planning to buy the school uniform today. Any recommendation on how many sets of dresses /skirts to buy? Eg, how many PE days are there generally in lower Sec and can the child wear the PE top n skirt the whole day on PE days?

Am I right that the skirt is meant to be worn on PE days along with the PE shirt?

• RE: 2020 PSLE Discussions and Strategies(for those born in 2008)

Interesting, My child also thought it was recycling, but the teacher phrased the question broadly as opposed to ask about good deeds/good model - the teacher asked along the lines of "who do u think of when you see the actions in the video" ,"what can the school do to encourage students to do THIS"… so my child answered largely based on recycling. My child did not realise that she might be off-track at all…

Can there be more than 1 topic per session? I thought the Chinese one was on recycling /环保?
Is it common for the interviewers to provide positive feedback like in the case of Cool nurse's DD? I had assumed most would remain neutral all the way till they have seen everyone and deliberated amongst themselves so as to manage expectations.

Any other experience of interviewers explicitly saying the child did well for the interview? Winder if that could be their way to hint to the child ahead of mid-Sep.

It is not common

Though rare, but still can happen occasionally,
depends on how
the interview was being conducted.
Was the interview conducted Individually (solo), or in group ?

If conducted in a group-
with other P6 candidates around,
Interviewers are discreet, interviewers won't say anything, right in front of the interviewees.

But, if individually (solo) -
Yes,
the panel of interviewers can inform P6 candidate right away on the very spot, at end of that interview verbally that, he / she is in, successful for DSA, because no other candidate is around to hear what interviewers comment, if the candidate is outstanding !

Congratulations, cool nurse !
Your daughter's achievements are indeed impressive, not just in English domain only, but holistically as well 🙂

Based on today's interview, with so many RGS big-shot interviewers around,

the fact that RGS Principal mentioned explicitly that \"your daughter is impressive\",
this form of verbal spoken positive affirmation coming forth from the Principal herself, is like a verbal CO 🙂

warmest Congratulations !
Well done, daughter of cool nurse 🙂 I do not know how you guide your daughter in time-management, but she is ... remarkable (fantastic), at such a young tender age !
Can see that, there is a lot of self-drive within herself, to want to achieve so much, because if a student lack self-motivation, very hard to fulfil (achieve) all these. Can see that whatever she had set her heart on, she excel !

Just to check.. for the interviewer to say pleasant things at the end of the interview could also mean pleasantries or being nice to a p6 child? Just don’t wana get hopes high.. wasn’t told explicitly that they will offer but said did well, hope to be able to offer.. mentioned ‘hope’, not confirmed.

Still better than being told off but just wana understand the chances of seeing this whole process through to a CO...
Interesting cos my child had the same response - \"u did well, would like to be able to offer, but even if that does not happen, do your best for PSLE and put us as your first choice.\" I thought it was more positive than negative....

Or is this a stock reply they were given at \"DSA Interview Training\"? Lol!
