From what my dd described, the question shows a man taking a dump outdoors. There is a tube from the waste to a container and the diagram mentions gases passing thru the tube into the container. Question asks

1. Why are mosquitos attracted to the waste?
2. When mosquitos go thru the tube to the container, why don’t they survive?
3. Name another living thing that produces the same type of gas and what is the process called?

From the above questions and the fact they mentioned gases… I think the gas they talking about here is Co2. Mosquitos are attracted to Co2, when they go thru the tube, there is no oxygen in container so they die. Living thing that produces Co2 is animal/plant through respiration process.

That’s what I think… dunno correct or not!
