      Buddhist:
Assuming one has CO from both HCI and RI, which would be the choice?

Not sure about past years, but for 2017 DSA, HCI has imposed a very high standard for Maths & Science domains. Must be gold or platinum winners at Olympiads in order to be even shortlisted for HDP. Thus, there will have many top-calibre Maths/Science students to spur their schoolmates. Additionally, HCI has traditionally been known to strongly promote Chinese culture, language and values, which (in the current China era) is a big plus point. So I guess (just a guess) HCI has an edge over RI in terms of DSA acceptance.
This is what we call a \"happy problem\". I would weight the factors such as school culture/fit, distance from home, programs etc. to see which is more suited.

I am not sure whether it is acceptable. My husband who is american called the school and was advised that I to join the huay kuan.

      Hi Xuen,
You can only join the Huay Kuan if you are a Hokkien which will be shown in your birth cert.

      thx mummy of 3 šŸ™‚

Can i know any good schools to recommend near Bishan, Sin Ming Road area ?
Ai Tong School along Sin Ming Ave, but it is very \"hot\", likely ballot under Phase 2B and 2C for <1km.

      blmg:

As at 3pm, from Ai Tong's website,

50 applicants within 1km vying for 20 vacancies.

I was no. 51 šŸ˜„ We were at the school by 2pm and just sat outside the office undecided what to do. 40% chance at AT vs 100% chance at KCPPS. Anyway I just felt the dd will be happier at AT so going for it. Think my head has to be examined

Now praying that Fri balloting will be successful

      Wish you lots of luck!

For Ai Tong <1km, chance at 2B is around 35-40% and chance at 2C likely to be about 20-25%.
