      Hi, Ichigokun

that sounds scary to extract the worm from the throat.somemore my kid is very freaky about such things.
anything how long after taking medicine will we be able to see the worm… the past days, I have been observing his stools but nothing come out of it, and also his butt…

as for appetite wise, he still eat as per normal… does not tht mean he does not have tapeworm…

thanks for your prompt reply. it shld be 17kg instead 12 kg (typo). but still considered very skinny due to his height. juz wondering could i give the medicine first or shld i consult the doc....first.

the pharmancy did mention that some parents give their kids twice a year as they eat raw food...but not sure is there any side effects...

    • RE: How can a child gain weight? What do you feed your child?

      Hi, dear all,

Have been reading your thread. My son is 7 years old - weight 12 kg and height is 120 cm. consider his height, he is really skinny.
Am now wondering shld i bring him to see doctor to see what is the problem, is there any good pedatretian you could recommend?
… anyway, he has not been gaining weight since dec…11 and abit worried.
though he eats 3 meals a day -
2 rice meal with pork and egg…chicken, breakfats he eats bread with milo and b4 sleep, he drinks mamil milk. but he does not seem to have any weigh gain. am now thinking is it becos of tapeworm… how to detect tapeworm or can my son juz take the medicine from the pharmacy… any side effects.

      thanks for your advice

And I have another question may I know what is the difference between the wushu CCA and the wufang wushu enrichment. Any feedback

wushu cca means you are in the school team and can represent the school for competition. wushu enrichment is the same as enrichment classes whereby a child can pay some fee and join as an interest class. hth

Just to clarify, the Wushu CCA comprises two teams - the school team and the non-school team. Members of the former only meet once a week (Wed) for practice whereas the latter will meet twice a week (Wed & Fri). As chowon has pointed out, the school team members may be selected to represent the school to take part in inter-sch competitions.

Last understood is that wushu CCA is no longer offered to the lower primary, only the enrichment programme. not sure what is the case now.

The Wufang wushu enrichment programme is a paid programme and if I am not wrong is conducted in the evening after school (previously was Monday not sure about now). Coaches for the CCA are also from Wufang which is set up by Vincent Ng 翁清海. For the paid enrichment programme, guess they will impart more to a smaller group.[/quote]Hi,Chowon,
I am one of the primary 1 mums as well. As I also receievd this form and my son is very keen to join wushu, can I confirm that u mention for wushu cca , it is not applied to P1 anymore. Only for enrichment programe is available for P1. Juz wonder wat other cca is available for P1 as well?
