There is always a yearly review for the bus service. Getting feedback from parents. So far no major problem on my side except they r more pricey when compare to other schools. My personal opinion.

No news abt changing bus service to us at this moment.

Hi parents, may I check something about the Sch bus service? Going home journey- are the children picked up immediately after Sch ends or do they need to wait for an hr or so before they can take the bus back? What do parents do for boys who needs to stay back for extra remedials or CCA activities? I assume there will be no Sch bus service for after Sch hours. Thanks

      Hi
My P3 boy takes 2way (morn-noon) school bus. School dismissal is at 1.30pm. Students on bus line will all proceed to school hall to the assigned bus line stand where the bus driver will be waiting for them. After that bus driver will bring them to the bus. I stay within 1km so my boy will reach home usually at 1.50pm. There will be another round of school bus service at 330pm to cater to those staying back for remedial/ supplmentary/ cca but it will b for those that pay for noon bus service. There r some cca that dun fall into that timing then parent/student has to do their own arrangement.
Hope this will help u. šŸ˜„

    • RE: Enrichments when primary 1 starts

Well, I definitely agreed to wat u both sembgal & magiccastle had in mind. Which is why I insist Sunday is definitely no wk day all play. I do really wish that I can teach on my own but my wk keeps me away from early till late. By the time I reach home daily is already 830pm. I rather spent the balance night chit chat with him abt his day than teaching b4 he goes to sleep.

Fortunately, my sil who is teacher has volunteer to help with tuition much later on. By then I shall stop the enrichments.

My son got scouted at primary 1 to join CCA school team. School ends at 1:15pm. After which they will assemble at the hall, at the hall will have school bus line, parents pick up line and finally, morning star line. By the time he goes

For morning star, already 1:30pm, they start serving lunch. Then by the time he eats, dunno what time, and by the time 1:45pm, he's considered late. So after a few times late in P1, he got kicked out of CCA school
Team and got put in recreational team. So in my opionion, CCA is not recommended in P1, until he is very used to looking at time and not be late.
Thanks for letting me know!! I will keep that in mind. DH is so excited for ds to start cca instead of talking abt other important stuffs in Sch, haha.
Wondering whether is it Sch ends at 1.15pm everyday? Any day is a later dismissal?

      Hi mummies n daddies

Can anyone advices me whether does sgps start cca for p1? DS is gg in next yr. need to sort out logistic if any. Can I know what the timing for sch as well? Thanks!

Yes they have selected few CCA for P1, such as school band, art lesson, Badminton, as far as I can remember.
The CCA is optional too. If you are worried the child can be overwhelmed and tiring, then you could choose to not let him join for CCA first and wait till they are adjusted to the primary school schedule.

      :thankyou:

      Dear all

My ds is gg to start primary one next yr. At this moment he has berries and I can read on wkday afternoon, Mpm math and violin on sat. Wondering whether anyone encounter my kind of situation and do advise where or how to slot in when ur child start P1? Or shall I give up anyone of them? Please advise. Thanks.

I think your schedule is great. As far as I know, I can read and MPM math also have primary programs. In consideration of continuity, these pros are great choices. My daughter uses beestar for math and ELA. Maybe you want to check it. It's for elementary kids. Math pro is for free. There are two worksheets every week. DD does math on sat and ELA on sun.

Thanks for the assurance! Was also tinking whether mpm is gd enough for him thru lower primary as well
