Does anyone know what sort of 'International' students normally go to TKPS? From English or non-English speaking countries? My son will qualify for Phase 3 only (non-Singaporean) - what are the places like for Phase 3 at TKPS nowadays?

Quite an exciting first week for DS in TKPS. He is not complaining, looks like he enjoyed meeting new friends and study in the new environment.

My DS just started P1 this week, we are paying $78 (2ways) for the school bus even though we stayed just 1KM from the school.


I have a colleague who stay in TPY area mentioned that his kid’s only pay $40 (2ways) for their P1 school. Envy him…

Even at orientation day, he is able to make new frens and keep on talking non-stop, hope he won’t the most talkative in class… jialat…

I am trying to search for a light weight ergonomic school bag for my DS.


Does anyone know what will be the load that P1 will need to carry everyday to school?

(Although he will be taking school bus, but I still think a good bag will help him organise things and help in his postrure lor )

I just registered my DS to TKPS. I felt their last year results were not bad at all, above national average.

Don’t worry too much and don’t be over reliant on schools for our kid’s results and discipline. Let’s work together with the teachers, do our part as parents, encourage and help our kid, enable them to achieve their best.

Most importantly, let them have an enjoyable 6 years of primary school life.

Oh no, balloting again. I hope you are staying within 1 km.

You are registering for your boy? If its for your daughter, you could actually try Haig girls. It's my second choice school. I found academic wise, its ranking is not too bad in fact better than Ngee Ann and CHIJ Katong but not sure why the other 2 schools more popular.

I am registering for my DS, therefore our options for school within 1km are only 3 instead of 5

Distance wise, we are less than 300m from TNS and just a few meters under 1km for both NAPS & TKPS, so we went ahead with balloting for 2C at TNS.

However, luck is not with us so far.

Let see how this stage turns out.

If we failed again in 2C-Sup, do we have to wait till Phase 3 and fight with everyone else for first-come-first-serve basis?

Is there anything we could do before Phase-3 flood gate open?
