S and H had some savings each. If S gave $120 to H, both would have an equal amount of savings. If H gave $120 to S, S would have thrice as much savings as H. How much did each of them have? Can solve this without using Algebra?

At 9am, S was cycling from Point A and Point B. At the same time, L was cycling from Point B to Point A using the same route as S. Cycling at a speed of 4km/h faster than L, S would pass L 300m away from the midpoint.

      a) What time did they pass each other?
      b) If S took another 3 min to reach Point B, what time would L reach Point A?

ML and R started on a 36-km cycling trip at the same time. They cycled at the same speed for the first 12 km. For the remaining 24km, ML cycled at a faster speed. She arrived at the finishing point 10 minutes before Raja who was 4km behind her. Raja did not change his speed throughout the trip and he completed the trip at 11 10.

(a)\tAt what time did the trip start?
(b)\tWhat was ML’s average speed for the remaining 24km of the trip in m/min?
