Btw, i has been seeing felizbebe and lilytan keep answering questions post by others. Just curious, is both of you some how related to Herbal Basic TCM? Base on the way both of you reply is very profession and detailed. It really makes me ponder.
Both of you mention that Nose Spa is good and give them a thumb up. If is really that good, why don't they introduce it to Singapore PD and Singapore Hospital? As you know, Singapore government starts to accept and recognise TCM treatment. Like NUH, there is a TCM, SGH and TTS also have TCM. They should publicize it and introduce it to all Singaporean. Since more than 50% of Singaporean has allergic rhinitis problem.
Here comes the charges...I have a few friends visited Herbal Basic TCM. They told me that their charges is very high and in order to treat the allergy the physician suggest to them to take treatment package. And their package is thousand over $$. Also, without package, per treatment is also expensive. Further more the xiao er tui na is not done by the physician yet they still charge so high compare to other TCM.
For those who bring their kids to Herbal Basic TCM, don't you find it expensive?? And can they guarantee that after the whole treatment, the allergic will not occur? If they can't guarantee, isn't it the same as taking chinese herbs? And chinese herbs is not costly. I have two kids age 7 and 4. They have allergic rhinitis as well and theirs condition is under controlled. Further more they don't have to take the chinese herb everyday. Just when their nose feel itch and sneezing, i will give them the chinese herbs. Is so simple.
First of all, how dare you insult my integrity! The whole idea of this forum is to share with one another our experience, ideas and good tips on health care, I don’t think I deserve to be bad mouth by you.
Secondly, I doubt that you are really a regular in Kiasu parents as I’ve never seen any of your posting before, in fact you’ve just joined in on Nov 2 and made this one and only post 4 hours later. Also, if you are a regular, you should know that there has been at least 6 or more peoples giving good feedbacks on Herbal-Basic Clinic, not just me and “lilytan” alone like you said.
Let me clarify, I’m not related to Herbal Basic but I’m thankful to Dr Tan for curing my two kids and I like their service & attitude, therefore I don’t mind help to promote them whenever I can. You, on the other hand, made such a hostile post on them, it makes me wonder could it be you are their competitor trying to sabotage their business, or perhaps you had some conflicts with them before? Is that why you are here to vent your anger on them?! However, by the sound of your posting, it also seems that you may not have been there before, but just simply based on the hearsay from your friends. Your motive is indeed very suspicious….
Like many other parents, I was also quite skeptical about TCM in the past, until I was desperate as my two children were falling sick every other months and medications such as anti-biotic, zyrtec, singulair, etc etc didn’t seems to help much, that’s where I began to explore alternative treatments such as TCM. A friend of mine then introduced me to Herbal Basic Clinic, and within 3 months I saw a big improvement on their health condition. I was so impressed with it and that’s why I’m for this clinic, it’s that simple!!
After visiting the clinic for almost a year on regular basis, there’s no doubt that I have good knowledge on their treatments and have learned quite a bit about TCM. Plus I have picked up the interest to read more on TCM therapies and Chinese herbs, maybe that’s why you thought I sound “professional”, but you were wrong, I was probably just a little bit more knowledgeable in this aspect than you, that’s all.
Btw, may I know how do you define “expensive”? as this term is very subjective depending on one’s affordability. At Herbal Basic, they charge between $25 to $28 per session for xiao er tuina, and between $13 to $20 per session for the herbal nose spa, is that really so “expensive” like you said? Why are you trying to project the wrong impression that only high income group can afford to go there? To me and I’m sure many others too, such charges are considered reasonable by Singapore standard, well if that’s something you can’t afford, you are free to go elsewhere, but I don’t think it’s ethical for you to condemn them on no basis. I leave this to the readers of this forum to justify if your accusation was right!
Please read the post made by “Healthyy” on Sep 26, she said that she has completed the full 4 months treatment for rhinitis at Herbal Basic Clinic for a year now and there’s no relapse of her rhinitis. Isn’t that a very good testimonial to demonstrate the efficacy of the treatment? Btw, which western doctor or ENT specialist will guarantee you that there will be no relapse after their treatment (even though their fee can be 10 times higher)? If you know of any, please recommend to the readers of this forum.
Nevertheless, you mentioned that you have a good way to treat your children’s allergic rhinitis with “not costly” Chinese herbs, I believe this will be a great news to most desperate parents like what I once was, so please reveal the recipe to the readers of this forum and let everybody benefit from it! Since you also said that 50% of our population suffers from allergic rhinitis, so if your “not costly” and “simple” method really works, it will be of great help to our nation and I’m sure MOH will welcome your suggestion!

This is quite a long and thought out reply, which I find it amazing that u take such great effort to rebut on my comment, which was simply a feedback from couple of friends who had apparently patronised Herbal Basic TCM.
This forum is meant to share experience and it is not a judgement of their service or capability. Neither is it a flatform to argue about ones opinion on a service one experienced. Surely there are other feedback, either good or bad. Regardless, it doesn't require such an over reaction from you, someone who is only a patron and perhaps have had a good experience at Herbal Basic TCM. I wish you well.
