Hi parents, are there many students transferred from express to normal stream by end of sec 1 or 2? kinda worry for my child who is weak in English and few other subjects.

My experience with students from different secondary schools is that you need to check with the school what is their school policy. Most schools that my students are/were in usually don't make students change stream until end of secondary two, but there have been exceptions. It is best to check with your child's school.

      Hi Teacher Aaron,

Thanks for your reply. My child's school policy is 50% overall passes including English, or else will be transferred to normal stream from sec 1 onwards. Any tips for improving English, Literature and History?
Is it true that, for a student to stay in the express stream in Sec 3, the student must pass English in Sec 2. If not, the student will be transfer to normal stream.

      Seems like that.

My ds was telling me that those who cannot pass English may be kicked out of the school as the school does not offer normal stream.
About half of the class did not pass English for CA1.
Hi parents, are there many students transferred from express to normal stream by end of sec 1 or 2? kinda worry for my child who is weak in English and few other subjects.

    • RE: All About Dental

      Hi,

Anyone knows if kids can do scaling and polishing every 6 months (2x per year) like adults? Will it cause any harm to their teeth? eg. thin out the teeth or gums?

I opt out when he was in Pri 1, think of rejoining but not sure if it is possible. Anyway he is seeing private dentist, I forgot to ask the dentist if I should bring him for S&P every half year during the last visit.

      Hi,

Any of your kids seeing dentist in primary school? Did the dentist do the scaling and polishing for them? If yes, how many times per year? And also do they inform the parents before they give any treatment eg. fillings, extractions?
