For me, it isn't necessary. DD1 is busy enough with her school work and cca. When she is free, I encourage her to pursue other interests e.g ukelele, guitar, k pop etc. She volunteers in church which is great. She didn't get a 4.0 GPA. But I think she will have a richer sec school life. These are individual parenting choices, I suppose? So, if the assessment books are calling out to you, go for it

Although some schools accept 188 to express stream, but so long as your Tscore is 200 and above, can only go express stream.
