    • RE: Suspension by school

I could relate to this boy’s mum as I also has an Aspie boy who could not see things on other’s perspective. It may deem as another bully attack for the boy though it may seem to us as a norm to have school leaders pulling the child shirt or even get someone else to pull the boy. Sometimes these students have been quietly teasing behind the teachers back causing the autistic boy not to know when is it a bully or carrying out of order. I heard the boy was not running and was asked to stop check for running. This autistic boy is perfectly fine when we interact with him, I was taken back that his parents have been called to school several times due to school unable to handle his meltdowns. It could be insufficient trained staff to handle children with special needs in mainstream?

    • RE: Suspension by school

The autistic boy was stopped by school leader as deemed to be running at the hard court when boy do not think so and did not stop. School leader pulled the boy’s shirt and continued doing so despite being asked to stop by boy. Another boy following the school leader grab the boy’s hand. Boy struggled and kicked. The school leader was injured. Boy is given suspension. Account given by boy. School send letter to inform boy injured a schoolmate. No one speak to boy to find out details when letter was given.

    • RE: All about Transferring to Other Primary Schools

Can we use first round GEP letter to ask for transfer to GEP school? What would be a good reason if child do not have special talents?

    • Suspension by school

What happens when child is suspended by school? Will MOE record the suspension? Will it affect child’s survival in SG? Would the school need to do investigation and give report to parents before suspending child? Is it possible for DS to get suspension if violent attack is due to retaliation?
