Is it possible to calculate a range of T score for PSLE based on a rough estimation of marks? More accurate to multiply total by 0.7 or 0.75? wanted to read up on which secondary sch DS might be eligible for.
I read 0.73~0.75 multiplier depends on the primary school is on the tougher or more average side.
Just to share experience, I did plan 2 options for this estimate + 10, 2 options based on the estimate, and 2 options based on this estimate - 10.
Ready for the possibilities 😁 good luck πŸ‘πŸ»

For NUSH SIE : ⬆️ is a recommendation as they need to first establish the student is truly passionate in Math and Science and second, academically able to thrive in an accelerated learning environment.
They still have to interview with the school even applying at SIE phase.
They do not emphasise a specific score but it will usually on the higher range of 250-270.
I was told school did not open SIE Phase last year (PSLE 2019 for intake 2020) as all places offered and waitlisted were fully taken up.

I believe NUSH had ~10 spots via SIE last year (2019 PSLE). No direct knowledge of this figure though, and no idea on the scores of those that were ultimately selected.

I have wondered whether the acceptance of COs is going up at NUSH, hence won't get through all of the WLs (unless school is also adjusting the WLs issued).

In above webpage, almost to the end, it is mentioned for SIE, β€œ... aggregate score of 250 and above with A* in both math and science...”.

In case can help those considering to go through SIE. Please remember need to submit portfolio before PSLE result announcement.

Hi parents, can i just ask..for those of you who received CO from CHS, did you receive the letter? Or just an email? Tks
Hello, we only receive an email, no posted snail mail. And it is not mentioned in the email either. Hope it appears correctly in the selection slip at the end of October. 😁

Average Graduation CAP scores for the past several years:
      High Distinction (CAP = 4.5 – 5.0) = 50%
      Distinction (CAP = 4.0 – 4.4) = 29%
      Merit (CAP = 3.0 – 3.9) & Pass (CAP = 2.5 – 2.9) = 21%[/quote]
      Hi, good morning.
      Been reading NUSH promotion criteria.
Sorry to ask, but do you have some info on how many students need to stay back every year?
Haha sorry thinking of worse case scenario since promotion criteria is 2.5 (saw that it’s equivalent to 65%).
      Thanks a lot.

Hi lucid, you’re like reading my mind. Yes I was quite worried but your reply is comforting. Hope DS can both contribute and enjoy his time.

      Hello,

NUSH has been DS’ dream school and he received his CO.
While waiting for curriculum briefing in October, can I ask some trivial questions:
      1. Is laptop allowed in class? Wifi?
      2. For schoolwork, any recommended spec?
      3. We’re staying quite far from school so I wonder if the above mentioned olympiad training, is it done during curriculum time or after school hours?
      Thank you so much.
