Will the school assessing be able to see what are the 3 other schools that we submitted in the application?

Or will they just individual details? :?
Is there any concern?

My DS (other students as well) got CO from all the 3 schools that he applied. Just be prepared that they might be asked \"Which other school(s) did you apply?\" during interview. Conversely, there were students who applied DSA for only 1 school but did not get CO.

For some Sports, they may ask for verbal confirmation whether the student would accept the CO if awarded.

All the best.

Hi,
This year I’m trying for DS thru’ DSA but for NuS or SST we must fill in through DSA-sec portal only. So does that mean we can select max of 3 school choices only?
Also would like to know anyone have got admitted into SST thru DSA. Can share some idea how to prepare for selection test to SST ?
https://www.moe.gov.sg/secondary/dsa/application
Indicate up to 3 choices and 3 talent areas. You may indicate up to 2 talent areas for the same school. If you want to apply for 2 talent areas at the same school, you must indicate both as separate choices..

(A) SST Phase 1 Written Test (All candidates)

The SST phase 1 Written Test assesses candidates’ ability to solve real-world problems by applying STEM knowledge and skills. The duration of the test is about 2 hours. Applicants will be informed of the test date and timing via email.
(B) SST Phase 2 STEAM Challenge (Only for shortlisted candidates)

The SST phase 2 STEAM Challenge is an activity-based assessment where candidates will work in groups to solve real-world issues. Shortlisted applicants will be informed of the test date and timing via email.

All the best.

Hi all!

I would like some advice on the DSA application.

For DSA leadership IP track, does any one know what is the process for TJC? How closely do they look at the child’s P5 results before short listing them for interview.

Mother tongue is my son’s weak point and that affects the total AL score.

Thanks 🙏

● Applicants should be role models who have demonstrated excellent leadership skills and potential through their experiences in key leadership positions in primary school (Executive Committee member in the Prefectorial Board or equivalent, CCA leader etc) OR have led projects that have impacted the community.

● Applicants should indicate non-school-based achievements in their online application in MOE’s DSA portal

All shortlisted applicants will attend an interview.

Schools will assess the student’s overall ability to cope with their academic and non-academic programmes using various sources of information, such as primary school results and interviews.

Many students' weakest subject is Mother Tongue so it will not be a big factor if he does well in the other 3 subjects. Encourage him to improve his results.

All the best.

Hi all, does the sequence of the three DSA options impact the chances of being selected?
No, it does not affect.

Hi, All,

Does anyone know when we receive letter from schools that for interview after I submit the DSA application in May?

Thanks
It varies from school to school, most of them usually held in Jun and Jul. The school DSA website will usually list down the details and parents may also post the info (for popular sec schools) here.

All the best.

Thanks for sharing, doodbug!

To clarify, if a child who is already on ESIS, does he get an additional $750 allowance plus another $2400 off the school fees? Or ONLY the $750 allowance, since ESIS already covers $2400 of the IS fees.
He will get the $750 allowance only. All the best.

Still waiting for anyone with info whether RP88.75 qualifies.

Also, if possible, advice on what to write in the Personal Essay, when applying.

Appreciate much.

Hi,
Don't know if this is the right section to ask. Is anyone familiar with the RP score to get a scholarship?

My D2 came home last week with RP88.75. Quite unexpected. Not familiar with this. So we dunno whether she qualifies for a scholarship or not, and for which?

She has no H3.

Anyone knows where to find historical data?
:congrats:

Your DD should have access to BrightSparks. If not, she should create an account (refer to the link below). Most of the scholarships are located there.

https://brightsparks.com.sg

All the best.

Note:- Scholarships look beyond grades. There are successful non RP90 applicants even for the prestigious scholarships.

From a small sample size of about 15+ students, appears that there were quite a number of unexpected Cs for Econs.
Can consider appealing for a review of the results. All the best.

:congrats:

One in three students also obtained a full University Admission Score (UAS) of 90. The mean UAS was 85, while the median UAS was 88.

45 per cent of students offering four H2 subjects scored distinctions in all four subjects. 60 per cent of students scored at least three H2 distinctions in their content-based subjects. Overall, 492 students attained at least 6 Distinctions.
