my ds has the same problem, we have highlighted the prob to Mdm Bian and was adise to change the schedule for Third Lang, but my ds does not want to change and he told the teacher that he is quitting LEP.

I tot it is better cos it ends earlier and does not clash with LEP. the only thing is he has no transport to Bishan.

I m not sure if it will clash with any other activity? As well as your concerns abt drop out mid way & exam. however I understand such prog will further help in CL learning.
