I am trying to decide between Joy Little Schoolhouse, Red Schoolhouse and Maple Bear.

All of which are at Midview. May I know if anyone has any review that they can share?

At which level do they start? Wich are the additional which means parents need to pay extra and which are included in the core curriculum?

can share which school have you transferred to?

It appears that even primary obeisance now learning through play, show and tell etc. Pats is no longer the only school that is play based! There are many out there which follow the same teaching method.


Pats had an increase on fees for 2014. It’s now above $1.6k for 7am - 5.30pm. For the same price, can send to a better school and even for 7-7 childcare services.

So for 2014, 2015 and 2016 they only take play group and place only for a year right? What will happen after the one year?

I understand that sjck Harding will not have their lease renewed after 2015. So students enrolled in 2014 and 2015 will only be offered a place for a year.

Any idea if there’s any update on this?

Totally pissed off with Pat’s Schoolhouse. Really snobbish attitude. Just cause they are a premium preschool with long waiting list does not mean they can treat parents or potential parents like shit.


Went to visit Aroozoo last week and we had a few more questions to clarify. Rang up the school and wanted to speak to the principal to clarify our questions on the way the school is run as well as the curriculum. She could not speak to me over the phone at all and explained that she was in class. Ok. that is fine and I can understand. She told me to leave my number and she will call me back. She didn’t but got her admin person to call me back and arrange an appointment.

That’s fine with us too. So appointment was made for today at 11.30am. We were running late and rang them up to inform them. Admin person was rude and told us cannot be too late. Principal have many other meetings to rush to. We thought, fine… we will try to be there on time.

End up, we were even 5 mins early. Guess what! Principal saw us in the office and promptly sneaked out the back door! First was district head that spoke to us and told us she go get the principal. Then admin person came and proceed to show us the tots again. No mention of principal or apology that she is not there. After which return to office and was briefed by district head again. NOT the principal whom we have appointment with!

We still patiently bring up our concerns and questions to her. She first told us "oh, we have weekly update to parents on the activities done with a small section on what is coming up" then when I ask her is it paper or email? She says, " oh paper" then later change to it is not paper, its on parent portal. then becomes not weekly but every other week.

Can’t seem to answer my questions on P.E either. No one know when do the kids learn the chinese strokes.

It seems like no one know what is going on and the thing is why principal made an appointment and I even rang up 30mins before and yet when we were there, no sign of her!!

totally take us for granted. We have not even enrolled yet. We wonder how we will be treated once our kids are in the school. Worst?

2. Pat’s Schoolhouse
