SJI O-level curriculum typically follow MOE syllabus.
I understand that SJI offers \"O\", IP and IB options whereas SST is generally meant for those aiming to go to Poly via \"O\" levels.CoverMyNeeds\" post_id=\"2038540\" time=\"1631936168\" user_id=\"193436:

Co-ed vs all boys
newly established school vs school with very long history
But of course if the son of AlternateShift at the end of Sec 2, is interested in Transfering across to IB track starting Sec 3, then it makes sense for him to join SJI, instead of SST.
Otherwise, if he wants to take Double Sciences plus One Applied Science, then join SST lah !
Who says that graduates of SST end up in Polytechnic ?
Nah !
So many of our SST graduates end up in
National Junior College
And
Eunoia Junior College,
although there are also those that go Polytechnic.
Of course there are also those that go to other non-IP JCs, as well. But predominantly, those who finished O level often like to to go to NJC and Eunoia.
==========================
Btw, emoh,
SST was founded in 2008.
Today is 2021.
How many batches (years) have gone past ?
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/School_of_Science_and_Technology,_Singapore
Simple mathematics will show :-
2021 subtract 2008, equal \"13\" years have passed by !
So, how can you say that SST is \"newly established school\" ?
Where got \"newly\",
when so many O-level batches have already sat for National Exam ?
You know what's \"newly\" ?
\"Newly\" means just been established 1 or 2 years ago that type, then Yes, is considered under \"newly\".
========================
CovermyNeeds,
In case you are not aware -
50% of SST graduates end up in Polytechnic.
But,
Another 50% of SST graduates also end up in Junior Colleges.
And NOT
what your gut feel telling u that
100% of SST graduates end up in Polytechnic.
What is the beauty or advantage of studying in SST ?
Their entire SST curriculum is very much in tune and much alive with the happenings of the world. Unlike our kind of \"dead\", always follow standard MOE syllabus.
SST curriculum is robust & dynamic. Beauty is that it offers flexibility ! Those after O level, can have a choice to decide : continue with JC or to change course to Poly ?
However, I must say that some SST students inside, are weak in languages, esp. Chinese[/quote]FYI, it was a staff at SST who shared that info with me. Certainly has got nothing to do with my gut. -

Congrats to all parents whose child have gotten CO/WL ..
My son got CO from SJI (O Levels) and SST, hence now a decision to be made
So far he is quite indifferent
Wondering if any parents have any insights/thoughts regarding these two schools?

Oh dear... just curious, which school is that?
Received call for CO last 2 weeks. However, just got the official letter and it stated WL instead. Feeling puzzled now and wondering what is amiss. Any idea why this happened? 🤔
