I need your expertise and advice on this. I have just moved house and changed the address on my NRIC. Hence it is not the same as the current address recorded in Grassroot Connect for priority registration. Are we still able to change the address in Grassroot Connect ? The application will be rejected if the address in Grassroot Connect and NRIC is different.

Ok, let me clarify. DH serves in CCMC, but not in the GRC that we reside. We thought that allows us to apply for schools in the GRC where he serves, but in the end, we could apply for schools in both the GRC he serves, as well as the GRC that we reside.

That was last year, I hope the rule hasn't changed for this year.

Hi dorisp, it's not true. Not sure where you heard it from. He/she can only serve in the GRC which he/she reside, and choose schools that fall within that GRC. Cheers!

It is true that you can either select the schools under the GRC that you are residing in or schools under the GRC that you are serving. You can call MOE to confirm on this again.

Hi dada, there is no difference in priority between CCC and RC members in P2B. They are all considered community leaders or GRL and qualify for the P2B privilege for P1 registration, once in P2B, it has nothing to do with their GRL status, but subject to MOE's criteria which apply for all who qualify for P2B (GRL, PV, affiliation etc).

I heard that CCC member is allowed for any school regardless of GRC, whereas RC member is allowed to apply for school that falls under the same GRC.

If you're already an EM, PA will notify you (via email or GRO's Chairman) in early May to go online to submit application. If you meet the criteria (e.g. 12 mths as EM), you should receive the letter within about 2-3 weeks. During P2B, you bring this letter along with other documents to the school of your choice. Hope this clarifies. Do note that you must attain EM status prior to 30 Jun 2010 to qualify. Cheers!

Hi ! I am currently staying within 1km of SJI and ACS Junior and qualified under phase 2B for the 2011 registeration for both school. Therefore, I am in a dilemma now, can anybody advice which one is a better school ? Some of my friends had commented that SJI school is quite chaotic and the teachers are quite relaxed (bo chup). Is that true ? On the other hand, I am concerned about the "rich" kids class in ACS Junior, do not want to have unnecessary peer/parent pressure.

My kid has just completed his Shichida IQ test. I would like to understand what is the average score for such IQ test at Shichida.


Kindly share the score if your kids have taken similar IQ test at Shichida, this will be used as reference only as we are contemplating whether to continue his Shichida class.
