RMPS' top scholar this year scored 277!

Wong Hui Ning, Avril Radin Mas Primary School
She is No.6 in National Level.

Yap. Not easy for her to do better than those from GEP. Congrat and thanks for doing it well. All from Radin Mas Primary School should be proud.
      :thankyou: :congrats:

Kong Hwa produced 2 top scorers in PSLE this year! Congrats!

      :congrats: to Kong Hwa.

Amazing! They even score better than those from GEP! Well done. They both (Leia Teo Wen Hui / F 张文慧 and Tang Zhen Yang / M 陈ęŒÆꉬ) sound like purely locally made. Thank you both.

I bought for my DD last year (P1). The condition of the bag is not good now. Will get her a new bag soon. Now planned to get a SPI bag since a lot of parents here recommended it. šŸ˜‚

Usually there is promotion during the school holiday. Look out for the advertisement on ST newspaper. šŸ™‚

Noted with Thanks. Cannot imagine to spend so much on a school bag. It's only less than $5 during my time.

My DS1 will be in Primary class 5 next year. Anyone else?

      Hi,

My son will be in Class 1-5 next year. Do we need to pre-order the textbooks or buy it directly from the bookshop in the school?

      Hi,
My DD is in Class 1-2 next year. I bought on Wednesday. I just get it (those non optional items) as I do not want to wait till orientation day. It may be too crowded.
Just wonder who had gotten the $45 school bag from KHS bookshop? Is it good?

      Dear parents,

my kid going to primary one next year and would like to send her to some math enrichment program.
she spent 2 terms in abacus and at the end she doesen't like to go as she can't cop up with it.
Now i am in dilemma whether to send to MPM or kumon
      Hi,
Me too was wondering which one to send. I attended the briefing session in Kumon. I had then decided to send my DD to MPM and now she is enjoying so much. She can now do her calculation in school faster than before. The most important for me to choose MPM is not to kill her interest in Maths. šŸ•ŗ

any idea when the school will move back to old compound?
will school change to single session after moving back?

      thanks.
      What was told
      1) Mid of 2012 will move back. (I doubt this can be achieve when passed by the old building)
      2) Single session start from 2013

Dilemma ... What would you do if in my shoes ,should I do PV in Rulang?

Ex-student of rgps but distance far
Stay within 1 km of Rulang
Hi to those who have privilege of 2A,
I think many of us faced situation like you. Given too many choice may trouble us too. šŸ™‚ That trouble me as well. In our situation, we should not consider based on the school distant as priority. You need to make a decision based on the higher chances of going to a popular school that you want. For others who has no privilege of going to a popular school in 2A, they are belong to 2B or 2C which will look into popular school that close to them with some extra effort. For those who can afford, they will move themselves to the mountain. That does not 100% guaranteed a place!

First you ask yourself how far is far that you can accept? To some, 20km still quite ok which they own a car and fetch the kid along the way to work. Some may feel 10km is too far. You may want to choose to move to school if really there is a choice. If all these still not workable, then you have no choice and will fall into the group who are belong to 2B and 2C. Then should not consider this category anymore. Put down and move on. šŸ˜‚

Once you can accept the distant, then forget about the popular school in 1km. Because you will never want to risk it by going thru balloting. So what if 22 within 1km is fighting for 20 seats, will you take the risk? Put the one that in front of your door step and move on. Grab your chance in P2A first so you have the stake to negotiate in future. Who know there may have vacancy in future?

In short, you are given a 2A which others does not have and they are willing to pay so much $$ to even buy a house nearby. You want to give up the chance and benefit others? Clear now?
