Similar to eesis given to top 3% of each p6 cohort, the scholarship given to gep students ( who don’t qualify for eesis such as my son )is for 6 years. There is no differentiation between gep and non gep students from year 3.

Thank you for the contact.
I have spoken with Ms Peggy Lee. My son was under the regional studies program scholarship for the first four years, he did not take history in year 5 and was taken out of the program. The school missed putting him back under the gep scholarship thus the full deduction of fee. They will rectify the situation and give me a refund.
Thank you once again for your kind response. -
RE: Raffles Institution (Year 1-4)
I am not sure if it is the right to call it gep scholarship, it is similar to eesis given to the top 3 % of each p6 cohort who choose to attend independent school. Every month, the government will pay $200 to offset the school fee, which amount to $2400 per year.

Hi Parents of RI IP students
Do you know if the GEP scholarship for GEP students is for 4 years or 6 years? I realize that the full year’s fee of $4020 was deducted from my account today. Is it possible that they withdraw the scholarship ? My son did okay I guess for year 4 with a gpa of 3.6. He is currently in year 5. -

Yup, she was totally cruel to do that to a child, and her student. When hubby and I met her for PTM, naturally it wasn't 'shiok'. She was also the FT. There was absolutely no reason why she had to make him stand in front of the class. What's wrong with a parent asking what will be tested for CA?
I am not a teacher...however, if every parent were to ask the teacher what will be tested for CA, then the teacher will be spending a lot of time answering these emails and naturally they will not be happy about it. -

RE: Daddies and Mummies! Have you considered getting a pet?
Please do not keep a pet so that you can teach your children responsibility, keep a pet only if you are prepared to love it and take care of it for life, the pet’s life. We can teach our children responsibility in various other ways as suggested by jedamum.
