Hi parents, congrats and well done for all the kids whom had done well in their exams. Keep up the good work!
Need some advise from the parents here. My DS will be in P1 next year and i would like to check if any one of you are aware whether there will be any changes to the text book list for next year (compared to the one in 2011). I understand the book list will be given out to parents during the orientation but i would like to check around for hand-me-down books before heading down to buy the books during orientation. Any info on this is appreciated! Thanks!

Thanks for the advice nms1! My DS is learning addition & subtraction as well as number bonds in K2 now...just wondering how we could better equip him before he starts P1.DDS:
Hi all Daddies and Mummies. My DS will be starting pri 1 next year and am anxious about whether he can cope with the P1 math. Would like to seek the advice from all the experts here on recommendations of good enrichment courses that we could enrol him in order to prepare him for P1. In addition, what are some of the good assessment books/materials that you would recommend to provide my DS with a headstart before he enters P1 next year. All your comments and help are greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for all you contributions.
P1 Maths is not too stressful so don't worry too much. Most of the term 1 & 2 seems to concentrate on addition & subtraction within 20 and using number bonds. I think the most important thing is to get your son comfortable with numbers. My daughter still uses her fingers to count or writes little pictures on a paper to do her addition & subtraction. I would focus on letting him do simple sums in his head rather than streams of assessment books. -

Balloting failed:(:( Got 2 twins and 1 triple sibings and they successful got 7 places, felt it's unfair to single child.Sooo dispointed
Hi ruiruimum, i dun think it is right to say that it is unfair to single child. The twins and the triplets all shared the same ballot slips so everyone has an equal chance. Just my humble opinion. -
RE: [Clementi] Primary Schools
School just called regarding the balloting at NHPS this coming Friday. When asked about the % of PRs among the applicants, the administrator mentioned that she is not able to reveal this info…

End of day Two of 2c at NHPS
<1km : 72
1-2km : 4
>2km : 2
Apparently, 3 parents who stay between 1-2km may have withdrawn their application today. -

End of day one of 2c at NHPS

Think school may call the 8 parents who stay beyond 1km to withdraw. -
