As an SC student, I think it is worth a try. Quite a few of my ip schoolmates scored eight too, though I have a friend who got balloted out at eight for first choice, but she isn’t a Singapore citizen. I just it just depends on luck atp. All the best!

thank you for sharing. May i check those schoolmates who got in with AL8, were they from SCGPS or did they take HCL? just wondering if priority is given to some or pure balloting.
