Hello. I have been offered a place in NYGH via DSA, and in PSLE I got a t score of 269+3, which makes it 272. Based on my t score, will I be in the lower section, the average section or the upper section in the school? Will I be able to get into the top class in the school? Thanks in advance and I hope this was not posted in the inappropriate thread.

It does not matter which point your t-score places you in the school. Your learning attitude for the next 6 years will impact your ultimate percentile among the cohort.

      Keep up the good work.

Thank you!!! I will definitely work harder in future. ๐Ÿ™‚

      Hello there,
First of all, congratulations to you on obtaining such excellent results !

Based on what has been shared thus far in this forum about this year's results, with more students scoring above 250 and COP for EESIS being 262, it is likely that the COP for NYGH will be increases by several points from last year's 262 (for non-affiliated students).
And it is given that all who apply for NYGH would have taken Higher Chinese and either scored Merit or Distinction.
NYGH's DSA exercise typically takes in 200 students (50% of their Sec 1 cohort), comprising GEP and MS students.
Also, they are likely to take in another 80 students (?) or so from NYPS - their affiliated primary school who has done extremely well this year.
It will depend on how the school will group the students ...

Thank you so much!!! ๐Ÿ™‚ I appreciate your efforts in answering my question, it helped a lot. ๐Ÿ™‚

      Hi Tankee or any guru

If a GEP kid had a wait list from RI during DSA, but now only scored around 256 (without HMT), does the kid still stand a chance to appeal to RI? Or Game Over?
Hi. I am not 100% certain about my answer but I heard that as long as you put the waiting list as your first choice there will still be a high chance of your child getting into RI. As I said, I am not very certain so please verify before making decisions. Hope this helped and I hope that your son will get into his dream school. ๐Ÿ™‚

      wps2003_:
We received the 2016 Sec 1 posting booklet today ๐Ÿ™‚ DD aiming for TJC thou she is not very confident with her PSLE papers. She usually get 2A* and 2 high As but after PSLE she claims that she would at most get only 4 high As... how? Her best subject is Math but she said it'll probably be the subject with the lowest mark since she was so careless :gloomy: She usually get close to full marks at around 97-98 any chance of bellcurve for Maths being lowered? :xedfingers:

Hi can I jus ask, what is the 2016 Sec 1 posting bklt? I'm p6 this yr n I dun thk I have received it
