For full schools, can their younger siblings be registered in the primary school if their elder sibling is studying in the secondary school? And will it be counted as phrase 1? Thanks

Sorry to ask,
cedar branding not as good as MGS, SCGS, SNG , why is that so?

1)

Cedar primary is co-ed,
not an All Girls' primary school, unlike (MGS, SCGS, SNGS)

2)

Cedar primary is Not a Full school, unlike the 3 Girls' schools.

Full schools are popular, in demand, because

students can study inside the Full schools for 10 years straight in a row under Affliation, from (P1 to P6) six years, followed by another 4 years from (S1 to S4)

Another added advantage :
under Phase 2A1 and 2A2, future daughter (off spring) can come back to study in the 3 girls' primary schools. But not so, for Cedar Girls sec.

3)

No affliation, between Cedar primary to her Secondary, unlike those 3 schools.

4) lack of Affliation,
for Cedar OP girls to Junior College

Cedar OP girls are Not Affliated to any JC.

only Cedar IP girls are Affliated to VJC, provided u are inside the IP programme.

at least,
MGS OP Girls are Affliated to ACJC
St Nick OP Girls are Affliated to CJC

Yes, reservation to go EJC is one of the key reason I can think of to explain the same COP!

No experience and knowledge here. Btw, is the syllabus and curriculum for IP vs OP very different? Is it like Normal vs Express stream...and they will be paced slower?

Actually if everything is the same, OP may not be a bad idea, 5th year is open to choices but of course there is some risk too. But if IP, then will be grounded, no more choice, only to EJC!

One is Barcelona. The other is Real Madrid.
Both teams play football and want to win at the end of the journey. However, the philosophy and approach of both teams in getting there are different

Haha good one but a little too abstract for me to relate and appreciate leh...

Let me ask in more specific...
1) In SCGS IP & OP, do they use the same textbooks?
Same

2) Do they share the same subject teachers?
Yes

3) Do the teacher teach the same contents for the same subject?
Almost the same

4) Do they pace the kids the same or differently?
To me, same

5) Are there any special programmes for IP which OP will not get?
Some xtra non examinable curriculum

6) Any other differences...etc
Ha u gave me some hope! Time is sooooo slow, I want to call the school GO at 8:30am!!!

:?

Err... SCGS has both OP and IP. Your case means she has been accepted into O Level, not IP since it didn't state IP - Express.

Ha was multi-tasking, preparing for work and misread! I just called the GO, the kind admin also unsure, checked and called me back, both IP & O levels track COP is the same 252, and somehow she's placed to O levels! Urgh.....
Down to decimals...

MOE should just publish this information together with posting, save all troubles!

Maybe MOE doesn't want to encourage a culture or flood of appeals lol 🙂

But they already set stringent appeal rules so it shld be alright to publish. Save school’s and parents trouble of calling
