Ah that sounds reassuring! Anyone who has their kid at safra jurong b4 moving to p1? It was worrying when you read earlier posts and they said the kids were given basic and slow progress!

Hi, for those who have children in the school, do you find that the teachers adequately prepare them for primary 1? I heard it is a play-based education… they don’t do worksheets or anything? will they get used to it when they arrive in pri 1??

It’s only after I placed her in then o realized this is what they do. I am really upset and want to withdraw her but just need to check I am right in feeling uncomfortable of this whole situation

Yes! Right now mine is in mfs and it’s always dark dark dark. They are always in rockers and they are always chit chatting as well. When I request for

Mine to be on mattress to move about she is back in the rocker within a few min. I brought it up to them and they keep telling me they are professionals! I know they gossiped about me being fussy/ demanding but I want to encourage her to crawl and not in the rocker

I just want to ask … those who put their child in the infant care… do you notice the immobile babies are always in the rockers? For long periods of time?

    • RE: [Jurong East/Jurong West] Infant Care

Because currently my child is at one of the infant care as stated. I observed and not very comfortable but I am not sure if I am too fussy. I was allowed 1/2 day there for three days and I realised

7 am- child comes in and placed in rocker
7-10 am - child is either given a bath or feed and then return to rocker
10 am - rock to sleep in rocker. only transfer to cot when requested
10-1 pm - when child wakes up, she is placed in rocker again and only play on mattress for a little while (at most 1/2 hour)

When I requested not to place her in the rocker so often , I received "we are professionals" and "no because the other babies will step on her" reply. I don’t know if I am too sensitive but surely she should not be placed in the rocker the whole day? The teachers seem to play more with the toddlers and the babies are usually left alone unless they make noise. But they can make them finish their milk and mine is a fussy drinker… so am I too fussy??
