Anyone know or hear any result from east spring primary? Thanks
All schools with available places at P2CS are on par with one another, so choose one that is nearer to your house and that you won’t need to go through balloting again.
I have visited Jun Yuan and had a good overall impression on the school. The principal is very enthusiastic.
Year 2012 phase 2C East Spring Pri vacancies all fully taken no vacancies for phase 2Csupp
This is last year 2013 phase 2Csupp schools conducting balloting
East Spring Primary School
All SC children are admitted to the school in this phase. Balloting will be conducted for PR children residing within 1km of the school.
Junyuan Primary School
Balloting will be conducted for SC children residing between 1km and 2km of the school.
East spring this yr total vacancies is only 180 whereas Junyuan Pri this year has a total of 240 vacancies.
More vacancies would be better as more chance for you. But again distance priority will come in if needed for balloting. so gauge your chance.
First ask yourself, which school is nearest to you? It’s because that will be the one you should go for. Phase 2C(S) is not for parents to cherry pick anymore, because if you go for balloting but fail, you will have to make do with whatever the Ministry assigns to your child.
Choosing the school that is nearest to you makes the most sense because it guarantees you the highest chance of getting into the school by Phase 2C(S).
Unless you are staying <1km from East Spring, you should look elsewhere. You will have a much safer bet with Junyuan, which hopefully is <1km to you.
Dear All,
I am a mother who failed to register for my son in 2C yesterday. I cannot describe how sad I am, but now the most important thing is to finalize a school in 2CS. I would like to seek your advice among the 2CS school in Tampines, which one is better? Junyuan or East Spring? I saw Junyuan has 30 more place than last year. Does more seats mean better school? And East Spring left least place in the current list, does that mean it’s more popular? We are citizen. Thank you very much
