Hi, Parents, Do you know where to buy black Redcross shoes? My daughter needs to wear them to do foot drill accreditation. I don’t know where to buy it outside. (She said: she brought them home, but i can’t find them). Thanks.

Hi, Parents, I understand that Y2 students will be tested on both Y1 and Y2 contents for science in Y2 EYA. How about other subjects, e.g. Geography and History? Will they be tested on both Y1 and Y2 contents in Y2 EYAs? Thank you in advance!
nope! humanities usually will not be tested again. from my experience in rgs for the past 3 years, in the EYAs, they will usually be tested the year's worth of curriculum or the semester's/topic's worth only!
Ok, noted. Thanks a lot. -
RE: Secondary School Geography
In answering Geography questions, students need to use P.E.E.L. And PPECS. PEEL stands for point, evidence, explanation and link. What does PPECS stand for? thanks.

ACTC:
Hi, the grade point has a 0.4 point for each achievement level; with 4.0 being the highest, followed by 3.6, 3.2, 2.8 and so on. So the total grade points will be at 0.4 point apart as well. The GPA which is the average of the 7 subjects therefore will have a step of 0.4/7=0.057. In your example of a student having 3.6 for all subjects, the GPA should be 3.6 as well. 3.6 is number 7 in terms of all possible GPA.
ok, got it. Thanks. -

When my DD was in Y1, she got 3.77 at the end of the year and received the Edusave merit certificate for the top 25%. At Y2, she got 3.89 and again is ranked between top 10% to top 25%. Do note that the GPA step is 0.057 apart, so best possible GPA is 4.00, followed by 3.94, 3.89 and 3.83 and so on.
Hi, ACTC, thanks for your sharing. May I know why GPA step is 0.057? if the students gets 3.6 for all her 7 subjects, why can't her AVE GPA be 3.6? Thanks. -

The GPA is base on the average of 7 subjects. Some subjects are compulsory: EL, HCL, 1 Math, 1 science, and 1 humanities I think. Her GPA is pulled down by the languages.
Got it. Thank you for your explanation! -
