There were 800 children in Group X and 30% of them were boys. There were 400 children in Group Y and 60% of them were boys. After some transfers between the two groups, 25% of the children in Group X and 75% of the children in Group Y were boys. How many children were transferred from Group Y to Group X?

      Hi Big Devil,
What do they means by the sentence?

1)After some transfers between the two groups, 25% of the children in Group X and 75% of the children in Group Y were boys.

Is it means 25% of both group of children from X and Y goes to Group X were boys?

      Thank you.

      Hi,

Could anyone help me on this problem? Thanks in advance.
      From Nanyang CA 2013
The total values of 3 numbers A, B and C is 215. When the value of A is doubled, the value of B is decreased by 15 and the value of C is increased by 25, the values of the 3 numbers become the same. Find the value of A.

      Hi all,

Could anyone help me on this problem sum from Singapore Chinese Girls School SA1 2013? Thanks in advance.
I am confused on twice as many cupcakes, is it 2 times more or 1 time more than at first?

Mrs Ong and Mrs Lim had an equal number of cupcakes at first.
After Mrs Lim bought twice as many cupcakes as she had at first and Mrs Ong gave away 26 cupcakes, Mrs Lim had 6 times as many cupcakes as Mrs Ong. How many cupcakes did Mrs Ong have at first?

Answer is 52, but not sure whether is it correct as exam paper sometimes give the wrong answer.

My friend is taking the below for breakfast or luch and she lost 2 kg in a month šŸ˜‚

      6 tablespoons of rolled oats
      1tablespoon of chia seed,
      half cup fresh milk
      Half cup yogurt
      1tablespoon milo
Mixed all of the above well and add fruits in.
      Must leave it overnight

I suppose can skip the chia seeds? And the yoghurt can be fruity or vanilla kind?

      Hi Kitty,
Do we need to cook the rolled oats? Eat it cool or have to heat it the next day?
