Hi
I’m not sure where to find this spreadsheet with yr 2016 & 2017 cop.
For score of 156 (NA), what are school available in Jurong & Bt Batok area with +/- 5 pts?
https://www.facebook.com/groups/861470510571247/1688277147890575/

Anyway 156 NA +/- 5 in Jurong and Bt Batok probably can try

Jurong West (161)
Juying (161)
Yuan Ching (160)
Westwood (158)
Bukit View (156)
Yuhua (155) / Shuqun (152) Merger
Hong Kah (153) / Jurongville (164) Merger
Boon Lay (152)
Hi
:thankyou: so much for the valuable advise
For Hong Kah / Jurongville merger to be in Yr 2019...
so does it mean COP for Jurongville to be lowered below 164 since Hong Kah COP 153 is much lower?

Dreamgear:
sghrm:

I need urgent help here... my kid will go to normal stream, simple question:

If his score meet School A (within range), but if our 1st choice is School B (which is 9 marks above his score). In the event if he failed for School B, will this affect his chance on School A?

School Teacher told me there is risk that he can’t go in School A becoz is 2nd choice.
But, some say is waterfall and it doesnt matter...

Which one is true?

The school teacher us wrong. No impact

My ds score 156
1st choice yuan Ching (160) or Jurong West (161)?
2nd choice Yuhua (155)...
So if can’t get in to 1st choice then chances gg to Yuhua is comparable to those selected Yuhua as 1st choice?

• RE: Cut Off Point Reporting for 2015 Secondary 1 Posting

Hi all

For t score 245, sec schools in West area besides Nan Hua and BPGHS...any other 4 good choices of sec Sch that can consider?

But for BPGHS, the sports CCA rather limited...common CCAs like swimming, badminton, soccer (football) which my ds interested all not available....so should I still put it as top 2 choices?

Appreciate your valuable advice and inputs...

Thank you 🙂

Do you want to consider SJI COP 245 that has Badminton & Soccer as CCA ?

Hi emoh

Thank you for your wonderful suggestion...likely I'll incld SJI as one of the choices.

Cheers 🙂

• RE: Cut Off Point Reporting for 2015 Secondary 1 Posting

Hi KGM

Tks for prompt advice 🙂

I'm thinking of schools in 230 to 240 range...e.g. Swiss cottage, commonwealth, Fuhua...are they good choices?

For 5th & 6th choice...I opt for those below 230 range?

So advisable to leave out BPGHS since sports CCA doesn't suit my kid?
Or is he allowed to just take one UG CCA if he's selected to BPGHS?

Regards

• RE: Appeal Secondary One Posting

A quick check:

1. For appeal, when do we need to appeal.
2. Is it on the reporting day ?
3. What would happen to the allocated school ?. Would they wait or is there any process /
4. What are the chances if 1 or 2 points are below the COP ?.

Kindly help. Thanks in advance.

1. Please check the school website or call the school as soon as possible.
2. Different school has different appeal dates.
3. Please go to the allocated school on the reporting date. No need to buy the books or uniform yet. Once you are successful in the appeal, the appeal school will give you a transfer form. You need to bring this form to the allocated school to get their chop as a sign of acknowledgement that you are transferring out. Then, you need to bring back this transfer form to the appeal school.
4. I think it is a good chance but you need to make your child stands out. It will be good if there are other achievements.

For appealing, do we take reference fr yr 2013 cop or yr 2014 cop
How/Where can we find out the yr 2014 cop of respective schools when the school posting results released?
By the time you are appealing, you would already know the 2014 cop so please refer to 2014 cop. However, it is better to prepare from now because getting some documents e.g. teachers' recommendation letters may take time. Teachers go for holidays too so it is better to prepare early.

You can call the school on the posting day to find out the 2014 cop.
Hi KGM
Thank you so much for the valuable information and advise. 😄
